Yeah I've just said it.

the music is terribly overrated just as every single piece of nintendo music...am I the only one who notices that every damn song is just like 20 seconds long and then looped into a 3 minutes set?

its ALWAYS like that, every "ocarina" (orchestral version actually) is just about 10 seconds and looped.

there is really no reason to praise this franchise's music.

and yes im gonna say they just do it because of nostalgia

There are classic themes involved with Zelda, songs that have proven the test of time and remain as not only memorable, but a staple in the series.

There is a difference between filler music that is decent, and a strong composition that becomes timeless.

the zelda theme, which is really like 5 seconds long and just loops. my point is that its not a "strong composition". the music is extremely simple, they just loop it to make it sound longer and more ellaborated but its still an extremely simple piece.

If you say so.

I think the music is great, personally. Got the cds for Majora's Mask and the Ocarina of Time: Hyrule Symphony.

To be honest it's one of the worst game music I have ever heard. They're catchy as hell but catchy is almost=BAD. It's really simple and shallow melodies and nothing more. A child could write better than that. Hell a child wrote better than that (mozart)

Ehh I think you are missing the point. I can understand not liking it, thats your opinion. But for a song to be great, it doesn't have to be overly complicated. A theme should be simple and memorable. Take for example Super Mario. Another very simple structure, but probably the most recogonizable song in gaming.

like skyward said, the themes are catchy, but gosh they are terrible. the wind waker ocean theme was catchy as hell but I was like "ok so this is a potentially good song...when does it improves?" hint: it doesnt, its very lame in composition

Bad troll.

I'd say the music in Wind Waker was probably my favorite, but A Link to the Past definetly paved the way for the future games. I can remember those tracks sounding so epic.

I agree. I find most orchestral hard to remember but can easily pick out a Nintendo tune.
