Take a simi-automatic, put it to the side of my head and pull the trigger!
Luckily I won't have to do this, because the average casual gamer hasn't showed any interest in a Nintendo console, nor it's games since 1997 (Goldeneye) and we all know that casuals determine the amount of consoles sold each gen.
Nintendo isn't trying to reach the casuals, which already have a kiddy image of Nintendo imbedded into their heads. Nintendo is trying to keep the hardcore Nintendo gamer, while attracting non-gamers, which don't care about graphics or public image.
I don't understand why sheep actually think the wii will win this gen, when Nintendo hasn't been on top of the gaming market for over a decade.
The Wii is much different then previous Nintendo consoles. They tried to compete graphically, it didn't work. Now they are thinking there hole approach.
You are sadly mistaken if you think that dated graphics and a new controller will put Nintendo on top again, and don't give me that crap about how it's cheaper either. Last time I checked the GC was $100 less than both it's competitors last gen and still ended up last, so the "cheap" argument is invalid especially when the core 360 is only $50 more than the wii this time around.
Don't give me that old and flawed argument comparing the 360 Core to the Wii. Any gamer who buys a 360 Core is very ignorent and stupid.
The franchises Nintendo offers argument is also invalid seeing as how these same franchise(Mario,Zelda) didn't save Nintendo 's last two consoles from being in last place during those generations of gaming.
Yet increased third-party support is what the last consoles did not offer. They seem to be getting more third-party support for the Wii in its first year then they did with the GCN and N64 combined.
