To anybody considering upgrading there gaming rigs for BF3

So far my experience with the BF3 beta has been seriously underwhelming. It is by no means the graphical revolution it seemed to be and the browser based multiplayer componant breaks the game for me. Ok so my £1250 gaming rig with my £430 gpu setup manages an incostant framerate anywhere between 50-100fps at ulta settings which is reasonable. Although there is tearing and graphical glitches galore with vhs type black and white static tearing ofter appearing which atm is game breaking. Hopefully that is down to it being a beta with no concrete drivers yet of which i have updated twice since downloading the beta. So i'm hearing that this build is missing a lot of dx11 features which i hope is the case beacuase id go as far as saying crysis 2 is graphically superior and the witcher 2 blows it out of the water. however if that is the case i worry about the potential framerate £430's worth of gpu is going to get me in the games retail fully function dx11 game release. For £430 i could buy all 3 current gen consoles and have some left over and to anydoby else i would recomend spending there money on a ps3 with bf3 and all the ps3's immense exclusives. In my recent experience the deffinative shooter experience is shifting towards consoles and although the pc has a minor graphical improvement over consoles it doesnt offer much else over its competitors. Since i cant condone paying an online subscription to play the multiplayer componant of my purchased games and the PC experience is likely to be inconsitant and unpredictable performance wise, i guess the ps3 is going to get the nod for bf3 ahead of my brand spankin gaming beast and dust collecting 360. A rant i know i'm just pissed off with the beta since i was looking forward to putting my pc through the bf3 paces.

Not specifically for BF3, but I did get the rig in my sig for this next generation of games.

Bf3, COD:MW3, Skyrim, Batman:AC, Bioshock Infinite, SWTOR.

I like battlelog, but I admit the graphics were a bit overrated. Then again, the beta is supposedly locked at medium and Directx 10 from what I hear, so that is important.

Still, even with Metro being as small as it is, its easily one of the best shooter games I have ever played. The guns just feel right, the teamwork is amazing and the game is just MUCH more balanced then the Alpha ever was. Even though I love Rush though, I can't miss out on the 64 player battles.

Hah, not using your gaming PC (which likely has about 10x the power of your 360) is a great idea! Regardless of all the bugs and glitches in the beta, there's no way in hell I'd get this on console when I have a perfectly good PC waiting for it. The 64 players feature alone is enough for me to go the way of the PC, so much fun having loads of people on a server!

While the game is not the very best looking game on the market it's damn close. We haven't even seen the game playing on ultra yet from what I hear, it will only look better (and play better) upon release. Just be patient!

Now Battlelog, that's where i have issues. Battlelog is just horrid, but that's another convo.

thats not what i ment dont put words in my mouth.

My £500 rig runs it just fine, maxed out the Beta and get 35-40fps during action, around 50fps underground and empty areas.
