I picked up the game when i got home from work and played the first 2 levels and I have to say its truly a great game. Not the AAA material I hyped it to be, but still fresh innovative and great. So to people who bought it how are you enjoying it?
Im buying "something" tomorrow....I just dont know what it will be. Im stuck in between Mirrors Edge, Resistance 2, or just waiting unit Mortal Kombat drops and get it. IDK.....I would get all three, but I have to go all out for my wife for her birthday.
the store i went to had an early release of the game. orginally i was going to try out bioshock for the ps3 but then I the game already on the rack and I was like holy crap i gotta try it out.
I played the demo yesterday and dont really like it, i played it again today and i have to say that after knowing the controls it gets sort of fun, i might check it out when the price drops, then again i dont like it the trial and error element.
I love it. Fantastic and visceral experience. There is absolutely nothing like it available in gaming. One of the best games I've played this year.
From my experience with the whole game I find the criticisms raised against the combat to be unfounded. It isn't a shooter and was never designed to be one. There is an achievement where you have to go through the entire game and not shoot a single enemy. I found it far easier to use counters and simple running away from them to be far more effective than shooting. I messed up in chapter 8 thinking the way through was past two machine gunners and the only way I could get past them was to shoot them... and it ended up taking forever because of their huge armor.
I cannot wait to play the game again and again. It just screams replay value for me. To go through and speed run those levels to get the best time? Pure awesomesauce.
The visuals are stunning and the style is just wholly unique. It's so clean, bright and colorful. It's beautiful really. The ending was awesome.
My son traded his Wii for a 60Gig 360 last week just for this game and he loves it. Then again he did play through the demo about 50 times. 8 years old and wants to be a free runner LoL
I want to buy this game, but I hav eno money. Mr. Bear hopes he can somehow "persuade" the people at EA to give him a free copy. So far, plans are approaching initialization phase, but we have one problem and that's Mr. Bear's lack of sense of direction. Unfortunately he cannot seem to find where EA is located without my help. Oops, I shouldn'at have said that... Mr. Bear doesn't like me to expose his flaws....
