How is it. I purchased it but haven't opened it yet to me not sure i'm going to want another open world game. So I was curious to most of you who have played it, is it worth it at 40 dollars or should I just wait till it goes even cheaper?

] Ya that's really my gripe. I mean I paid off most of my games, like 6 to be exact and I just ask myself do I really NEED to play this/I have been wondering this as well. From what I have seen, some of it looks like it could be really fun. 40.00 does not sound too bad, but it is still not a buy for me at this point. Too many other games coming down the pipe.

Well, if you do decide to give it a whirl, let me know what you thought of it. It seems like one of those games I would really enjoy in between some of my more anticipated releases at some point next year.

Ya I think i'm gonna wait on it. I'll see i'll update you to see what I do. I have too much coming and a few to beat. So, I'll definitely wait till it's cheaper.I played it at a friend's place (I know, it sounds terribly cliche, but I really did) and it was actually really good. I couldn't tell you how good the story is or how fun it is after extended play, but it was pretty fun. The presentation is fantastic, the setting is cool, and the gameplay is pretty cool, a lot like GTA and Assassin's Creed mixed together.enterawesomeAlso TY for the perspective.
its a good game
but you'll wind up doing the same thing over and over and over and over after you've completed the storyline (if you wanna continue playing)
What's that same over over and over?its a good game

I have played the first couple hours and its pretty good. The atmosphere and the art style are really done well. Good story. The play mechanics climbing, fighting and third person shhoter stealth all are acceptable. Although itsway to easy for my taste( the saboteur can take some seroius punishment) It hasgta/most wanted style escape which can be fun. I would recommend it to someone that likes the art style and setting. I would give it a 7.5 OR 8but I am not that far in yet.
I'm having some good fun with it, put some hours into it already, the atmosphere is what does it for me, the era its in and such. You do pretty much repeat missions a lot, go here, blow up this, or take this person, they'll do something, then you act as the getaway driver, etc. I found the driving controls surprisingly good though, I was playing Red Faction: Guerrilla at the the same time, and that is like trying to drive a cloud..
The other problem, as giantbomb's review brings up, is that it never lets you forget its a game, there are so many things on your map, a circle for restricted areas, a circle for where they are looking for you, a circle for how far of a range your nazi disguises go and you literally get a circle, in a circle, in a circle on your mini-map at some points, but the majority of the time it isn't an issue, just the times it happenes are kind of annoying.
It has some pretty nice fast-paced missions too though, the main plot missions aren't as generic as the run here and blow this up most of the time.
Its also pretty satisfying being able to place explosives anywhere and blow things up when no one is looking, thats part of what keeps the generic missions exciting. :P

Wow, that sounds horrible.
I say thumbs freakin' up. Make sure you open it soon, the code for the female parts is only good until the 31st. :P
The gameplay is very fun and the world is beautiful, especially when it's raining in black & white. The rain interacts with all of the environment, so it's running down buildings, windows, pounding on streets. It's a really different open world game and feels fresh because of the world and neat characters. Mr. Devlin is a cool guy. He's a badass drinker and smoker that gets the "goods".
If you hated Mercs 2, or didn't like it very much, this is your ticket. A much better game.
