Some of you seem to me like the types who bought a Wii right off the bat cause you thought it was cool, then realized it was a Nintendo system, might not be your cup of tea, and now complain bitterly because you didn't just get an Xbox in the first place.
Just get a 360, sell your Wii.
Problem solved.
Geez, I'm sick of all these Jonny ComeLately Fairweather Johnsons who skipped the Gamecube, and didn't realize the Wii wasn't just a cheaper Xbox with a cool new controller.
This thing is a Nintendo people. It plays Nintendo games. It has some cool stylized 3rd party games, and has been a huge success, but its still a Nintendo, and therefore goverened by the rules of the Nintendo god.
Your game system will be Japanese heavy. It will never be a great "shooter" system with awesome "realistic" racers around every corner. Nintendo focuses on quality over quantity, so you'll have to wait for their games, just like Blizzard and Kojima. They won't dissapoint, but they won't rush for deadlines either. Third party support will start sparse when they're coming off the Gamecubes utter defeat, but it will get better.
There are good games out there for the system, you probably just don't know what they are, especially if your an Xbox type of gamer. You would never bother buying a game like Zack and Wiki, because, lets face it, you judge books by their covers, are probably a college frat boy, and are more than likely too embarrassed to play that game just because of the name, if you even knew it existed in the first place, you just tell everyone "that's not my kind of game."
We know it's not! Xbox is!
You probably respect Ubisoft, Rockstar, and Bungie more than Capcom, Namco, and Konami, which makes me, like most Nintendo(and sony) fans, sick.
You should have just gotten an Xbox. We would all be a lot happier, really. I mean no offense and I'm dead serious. Sell your Wii and get a 360. I'm a sheep telling you to do this. You can't get a better suggestion than that.
It's not the Wii that's bad, it's the type of gamer you are, and you'll never be happy with it. In fact, if your not at least kinda looking forward to No More Heroes, or your not a fullon casual, then the Wii just isn't the system for you. Shop elsewhere, and keep it as a second system for the Nintendo games, or not, doesn't matter.
Next gen, remember Nintendo consoles are targeted at Nintendo fans. If you hate Nintendo, it might not change your mind. Peace.
