To Xbox 360 only gamers: Do you plan to pick up the PS3 in time for KZ2? *56k*

Killzone 2 is arguably the biggest shooter of 2009. Heck, it's one of the biggest games of 2009, period. It has had 4 years of hype since its coming out party at E3 2005, and the time is almost here. Next month, every single gamer will be watching this game very closely, because it offers insanely crisp visuals, but doesn't have the "great" history backing it up. It does look like Guerrilla took all the criticism to heart, though, and they've built a top notch shooter that every shooter fan will want to have in their gaming library.

So, are you in or out?

Even though I would love for it to be good game.

I will also laugh if it ends up being a catastrophic failure.

Anyway, if I didn't already own a PS3, this could very well be the game to make me buy one. I do see a fair amount of people buying the system when KZ 2 releases.

How do we know it's "mediocre"? It looks pretty good to me. And it's the first FPS with a deep cover system.

i own a ps3. and i still not getting this game. i think i going to wait and see. i not falling for the graphic is good, gameplay sucks thing again.

It's still too expensive. Besides, KZ2 looks like it would bore me to tears. (That's not to say it will be a bad game as COD4 and Halo also bore me to tears, and people love those as well).

When it comes to shooters, my tastes are more aligned with the Half-Life, System Shock, and Deus Ex type of games.

Those are all in my top 10 games of all-time, Deus Ex being #1, but that doesn't mean I still can't dig the more action heavy FPS's.

I was holding out on buying a PS3 until some good games came out. Now that it has good games they took out backwards compatibility! :cry:DireOwl

I would say no. (if I didn't already own one) While I like FPS, I don't really see anything to 'Wow' me enough about Killzone 2 to make me want to buy a PS3. I'll try it out and I'll probably like it, but it would not be enough to make me want to own it. There are other games to make me want to own a PS3, such as Disagea 3, WKS, and VC.

Not sure about FFXIII, but for FFVIII, it came out Septmeber 1999. :P

If PS3s were more affordable I would buy one for that game and a few others, I just dont want to spend another $400 on a console. I already blew $400 on a 360 and around $1800 on a new PC.

No. I just spent over a grand on a new TV so not gonna happen, I was planning on picking up a plasma and spending the left over on a PS3 but I spent £500 more and got an LCD :? we would probably burn a plasma (I also got a cinema system and new stand so Im poor now).

That said I probably will get a PS3 some time this year, I would like a BR player and the PS3 is a good deal where that is concerned, but KZ2 isn't one of the first games I would pick up for it anyway.

I doubt Killzone will be a system seller, it may be the jumping point for a few people on the fence Software sales will be pretty good hopefully Sony starts the PR train up to get it more known outside the general gaming public.Jynxzor

For only KZ2? Not a change. 360 and PC has plenty of solid shooters, so I wouldn't buy PS3 because of a shooter game. There're plenty of good games on PS3, but right now it's too expensive for me to buy.
