The ps3 version looks, plays, sounds better. has more features. but does the review acknowledge that??? why would they. its the ps3 version of course.

No, it does not look better, does not play better, does not sound better. They are identical, or near-identical. What are these more features you speak of, please list them. Why are you giving him attention then? You are giving him exactly what he wants.

You should stop being a fanboy and own both systems. then you can tell the differences and stop living in denial

What extra features does the PS3 version have? I'm being sincere. If it really is better, I'll be more than happy to get the PS3 version as well. Would the PS3 demo show these differences?
HAWX deserves a 1.0 simply for limiting your call-sign to 5 characters. What's the point of an air-combat game where you *can't* set your name to "Maverick", "Ice Man", "Slider", "Jester", or (with the exception of "Goose" and "Viper") any of the names from Top Gun!?!?

The PS3 version doesn't look better. The 360 version has 2x or 4x MSAA, whereas the PS3 version simply uses a blur filter. Just look at the comparison screenshots. The PC version is the most detailed, but it's more like the PS3 version in terms of lighting for some reason. The 360 version has these deep contrasted colors which the two other versions don't, and I don't know why.The ps3 version looks, plays, sounds better. has more features. but does the review acknowledge that??? why would they. its the ps3 version of course.

When ever you respond, he is winning.
I've played it all the way through, and though it's not the best game i've played, i had a fun time playing it, it's definetly NOT a purchase (i rented it) and it's a nice entry into the genre and i hope the next game (if there is one) is better and builds on it, considering we're comparing it to AC which is on it's 6th run.

Lunchbox it doesn't matter we're starting to get sick of your constant trolling and fakeboyism. Alot of your posts have just been simply ignorant, atleast with some other fanboys they make some effort with some good logic and some facts.

ohhhhhhhhh
the demo was meh... I didnt like how the controls changed when you went from assist on to off. it made things confusing when in unusual attitudes
I'm going to wait on this one. The forced 3rd person camera during Assistance Off mode is a ridiculously bad decision.

If I dind't like air combat games so much, that would have been the reason I didn't get it.
Setting the controls to Normal makes the Assist OFF mode a little more tolerable, but still a problem. I hardly ever use it. For me, that far-off camera view really breaks the feeling of flight.
Clancy has alwasy been about having some type of realism in it, but being able to do a backflip with your plane at over mach 1 is a little over the top for me.
On the up-side, it has co-op through the whole campaign and a leveling system plucked from Vegas 2. Those are the reasons I'm playing it.

To me it's actually better for dog fights because you can actually see where enemies are much more easily.
Yes, but it feels like I'm cheating.
Part of the appeal of air combat games is the feeling that I'm flying a high powered aircraft. A view from the cockpit or a close chase view retains that feeling. But personally, pulling the camera so far back kills the feeling of soaring through the air. At that point, it feels gamey. At that point, I'm no longer the pilot, but someone far removed from the action, controlling the plane with a remote control.
At that point, it's a drone simulator. That's not what I signed up for.
Again, that's all very subjective, so mileage will vary from person to person.

And it awakens the feeling of some very live dogfights that no other game has. I, personally was always irritated by thew way the camera clung to the planes tail in other games, and the plane itself felt like a tank in the air... with assistance off, you actually FLY, do tricks, and what's even more, it looks great .
my score for it would be 9. it is very fun. just remember, this IS NOT a flight sim, so don't compare it to a flight sim.SF_KiLLaMaNI agree. I really enjoyed the demo. It is a very well put together game. Seems very polished. Whatever I'm still picking it up.

Like I said, mileage will vary.
I feel quite the opposite. With assist off, I get the feeling that I'm on the outside looking in.... very detached from the sensation of flying. It feels like I'm controlling an RC plane.
To each his own, I suppose.
