Watch Dogs rain effects looked good to... in the E3 demo that is. It's almost a guaranteed downgrade with Ubisoft. Notice how in the videos the character is walking alone with nothing else going on in the environment, so this is most likely just a real time tech demo with the settings turned to max. With added AI, particles, and destruction it'll choke bad and need downgrade like how all Ubisoft final games always end up

Or they'll just drop the resolution...... the video is only 720p?
I'm not excited for this game at all. I want to but A) it is Ubisoft and B) it's game that needs to be online. I'll play when the beta drops but I won't have high hopes.
I'm sure the visuals will impress. And I'm sure the dev will get the most out of PCs.
However, the gameplay just does not appeal to me. Shame there is no SP aspect.
I don't mind online. but i also very much desire a single player experience as well. Well, I miss those days when single player is a big thing. People are concerned about the DRM that Ubisoft have been pushing, so they push all their games to online, build it into the gameplay and try to make it appear 100% needed. I have no problems with multiplayer, I do enjoy a good online game every now and then. But I grew up with all the old school games from 90's. So I am and always will be a single player gamer at heart, and while there are still a few game developers out there that focus primarily on single player it just seems like it's a dying breed and it's a damn shame...I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. I hope there will be a beta sometime soon.
Yes, the worst offender was Unity. Where you had to play a tablet game and an online game, in order to unlock chests in your singleplayer game. That was truly stupid. Luckily Ubisoft realised this and fixed it in a patch (the tablet game and online game are also absent from Syndicate)
But when we look at EA and Activision, I think Ubisoft is still one of the better ones. They still cater to the SP-loving crowd with Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, ...
When I look at EA, I see always online for Need For Speed (why ? DRM that's why), no singleplayer for Battlefront, no singleplayer for Titanfall...
Oh yeah, there is an open beta for this game right ? I'll try it out if I get the chance :)
@yourdeadgrandpa: He's just another one upset at the whole Kojima/Konami break up and blames Konami for everything wrong with the game even if the devs did anything too. In his mind, Kojima is a saint and Konami is the Devil. While I can say, Konami has fallen big time, that doesn't mean Kojima is innocent by any means but you can't explain that to Kojima fans.
On topic, I'm not impressed by a guy walking down the street in different seasons... I need some intense gameplay shown. Pretty streets are nice and all but that was a very boring trailer showing lighting and such.
The game itself should be seen separately. I know this might sound like damage control but honestly Konami is a terrible publisher.
Many things wrong with this game. Don't get me start on it one by one. According to your logic it's all Konami fault. Developers are innocent kids. Gaming is doomed, sad times indeed. Cry me a river XD. Guess you didn't get it.
-_-
Can't you read with context ?
I never said anything about the game only that it should be seen separate from the micro transactions. Devs never put MT's in their games but the publishers do.
"Many things wrong with this game" "Don't get me start on it one by one"
Weren't we talking about micro transactions ?
And now all of a sudden I apparently blame Konami for everything that went wrong with the game.
What the hell dude ?
Read again please.
Never did I say that devs are innocent.
The micro transaction pay models never get implemented by them....That's a fact. It's the publisher that does this.
So in terms of mt's, the dev never had any hand in it.
@vvulturas: yes, but we are also talking about Massive who are known to be awesome. The question is, will the shittyness of Ubisoft override the awesomeness of Massive

Impressive reading skills, you have.
Disaster. Hahahaha damage control.
Why are you laughing ?
Because it's funny ?
Are you a child ? Grow up... if you want to troll then at least do it properly.
I honestly have no clue why people are excited for this game. I have seen nothing (besides the dude shutting the car door) that looks interesting. And I have absolutely no confidence in Ubisoft. I do hope it turns out good for those of you that want it.
I still keep tabs on the game, since it has the potential to turn out well. However, at this point Ubisoft is arguably the most untrustworthy publisher when it comes to pre-release trailers, so I'm not holding my breath on this one.
