Cows and Sheep, prepare to ATTACK!!!
You got my hopes up dude. It has been going down hill since he left
Edit ok he is back this is beautiful
nice, I didn't always agree with the man but I did respect him, especially after he debated someone from EA about one of the modern day Medal of Honor games, with Tom giving him shit about how they glamorise war and conflict despite their message about respecting the troops and authenticity, Tom making the point a game doesn't have to be traditionally fun to be compelling etc.
I can't see any of the current GS staff doing that
this is the video, it seems like the Medal of Honor guy approached Tom but he still stuck to his guns in a face to face argument
Skyward Sword is the worst 3D Zelda game, I agree with the 7.5 xD
Agreed, it was garbage, Twilight Princess was a better game.
Did I miss something?Who is this guy? Sorry for sounding silly, but I don't know who your all talking about?
@goldenelementxl: Must have been a special kind of reviewer to get elmentos that butthurt.
Regardless, having one PRO lem reviewer will not change the tide with all the turds Microsoft throws out.
Cows and Sheep, prepare to ATTACK!!!
Ugh..... He's horrible and always add on his politics in his reviews.....
@i_p_daily: An ex-Gamespot reviewer who is apparently back now. As I understand it, he gained some of his notoriety here by daring to give the Critically Acclaimed(95 Metacritic score) The Last of Us on PS3 an 8/10 .

And Skyward Sword...
I don't even come to GameSpot for the content, just the forums, I pretty much stopped reading news from gaming websites, and I stopped watching gaming YouTube channels when all they would do is regurgitate the carefully cultivated Sony bias of NeoGAF, treating it like the intelligentsia of the gaming community, rather than what it really was, a safe space for Sony fanboys partake in a self-reinforcing circle jerk. Once in a while though I will click on a GameSpot article link when it's something non-gaming related, like those articles about what's coming to or leaving Netflix, or other interesting stuff here and there but that's about it.
Frankly, I can't even remember the last time I even bothered to make a determination about a game based off reviews, I don't even bother with aggregate score sites either. I mean, generally if there's a game I'm looking forward to or a game that has mass hype, and something goes spectacularly wrong, it's pretty much plastered all over these boards. Last game I can think of was Mass Effect Andromeda, and I picked it up anyways because I just had to see for myself what went wrong, and I still ended up having fun... but just enough to make it through, not denying it was a fantastic dud. Most the time though, you can generally tell if a game looks worth playing by just watching a few YouTube videos of straight up gameplay, or even just trailers.
I dunno, I guess it's kind of telling these days that I don't need a whole lot of insight into the games I want to know if they're safe to buy or not. I didn't even think about this until now, but damn, quality of the games I get these days has way improved, and people like to gripe like gaming is dying and shit. And sure, people seem most fixated on things like "oh it has microtransactions, boycott it" or "Digital Foundry has a new video of such-n-such game", but less and less people actually seem to be fixated on the actual meaty substance of the games. Maybe quality control has gone up, or maybe the hype scene has changed and I just find myself enjoying games more because I've develop rather modest expectations.

Lol crybaby. Last gen cows were crying everytime one of the games flopped, calling this lemming spot. Now it's backwards.

maybe you should re-read what I wrote and think about what you wrote
As soon as I realize that he gives Sony exclusives bad reviews I'm just going to use EZA or EPN for those reviews.

Sounds like a smart reviewer.
He can't be any worse than the tosser who gave that movie UC4 a 10 lol.
Don't see what the problem is. Skyward Sword and TLOU were both mediocre games (and I'm saying this as a Sheep and Zelda fan). Skyward Sword was just another 3D Zelda rehash and TLOU was a boring movie game. I wish more reviewers were critical like Tom.
I don't see any problems with his reviews. Skyward Sword really sucked for being a Zelda, definitely the worst 3D Zelda ever. And Last of Us review seems about right, or if not, not far off. Only problem I see is forum users that are fucking morons who don't understand a review is the opinion of one person and not a king of the world who now has doomed your favorite game for all eternity. To all McShea haters: grow the **** up. Fucking embarassing..

Good video. My buddies and I actually preferred the "punch" and feel of the weapons in these MoH games over COD. The M4 felt close to an M4 etc.
@UssjTrunks: TLoU mediocre, movie game? Lol, you can tell when people are just being downright trolls/fanboys. The minute people start tossing around "movie game" for anything they personally don't like you know their opinion is worthless.
That's exactly what it is. It's a quick little interactive movie you can play through in one sitting. It's not a good video game.
