I played both and Anniversary might be a tad better, though I love Legend.

If you wanna pay $30 then you may be able to get both, since I've seen Anniversary for $10 (this is on the PC, though, I don't know what you use). They're both pretty good, so either way...

I preferred Legend. Anniversary had some elements that where kind of weird for me, like for example the weird decision of not fighting or killing humans(you only fight one human boss from what I remember but you dont kill him).

I liked Anniversary, although the control was not so good on PC.

I think you kill two guys late in the game.

If I had a good PC I would get both since theres a bundle deal with Both in it for $25. But alas my PC is crap. Just noticed that Anniversary is only $20 pre-owned at EB so I might grab that one..

Anniversary by far. More platforming less gun fests.. back to the tomb.

Anniversary was a remake of TR1, and a good one at that. In that one you only fight animals too. I thought it was the best tr back in the day and Anniversary rules. I like platforming trap avoiding, rather then the gun fests of legend and angel of darkness any day.

On the PSN you can get both of them for $12 each.

Oh and Legends better.

Yeah i would like an answer to this question too since im feeling to get back into the series. Last one i played was TR3.

So the same question but also including TR: Underworld.

Legends is a decent game, though I wouldn't call it a hallmark of the series.

I haven't played Anniversary, but I still own my copy of TR1, and it has some of my favorite puzzles of the entiire series. If Anniversary is a good remake, I'd vote for it.
