Too Human looks to be shaping up

After watching the most recent video of it, my faith in this game has been reaffirmed. At first, I thought it was just gonna be a decent action game with some RPG elements mixed in here and there, but it looks like we got ourselves a true WRPG on our hands. I think this game will turn out to be one of the top 360 exclusives this year, alongside Fable 2 of course. What does everyone else think?

I must say, before seeing the footage of it at GDC, I thought it would be a pile of garbage (what with the endless delays and them suing Epic for some faults with their use of the engine) but it appears to not look totally bad. Even maybe slightly awesome. But I'm going to approach this game with cautious optimism.

I agree wholeheartedly. This game looks most excellent (call me a sucker for epic lewt :) ). I can't wait to see a demo or (heaven help me) the game itself. Though the vids here are crap, the ones at IGN are amazing.

For the graphics wh***s among you, this game has amazing graphics as well.

Looks like one of the worst hyped games in a long while, i don't even understand why people even bother anticipating a games like this when there is:Metal Gear Solid 4,Ninja Gaiden 2,Alan Wake,Far Cry 2,Gran Turismo 5,Gears of War 2,Little Big Planet all coming out this year.

I'm optimistic about this one.

I think it will suprise some people.

I always had some kind of faith in Too Human and yes it seems like it's shaping up as another epic great triology for Microsoft.

If it get's 8.0 or above, I'll be getting it.

It's just a natural feeling really, the overall game simply does not look good. Combat looks dull and repetitive, animations are sort of clunky and badly done, there's a lack of that special *thing* that excites you.

Just like how some people still think Mass Effect is an FPS, They will probably brand Too Human a hack slash a la GoW/DMC despite the RPG elements and trilogy story.

You should really look at more videos then. It wont just be hack n' slash. You will have access to special powers, different melee weapons, guns, and I am sure some kind of magic. Not only that, there will be skills that can be leveled, and I am sure that will effect gameplay a lot. The one thing about the action that really interested me was the boss battles.

agreed and its funny cause i thought it would be horrible as well. I saw the newest build and videos and Im sold. YOu can actually kill enemies when they add in game cutscenes, thats right kill them in the cutscene. Awesome and innovation rolled up into one. Gears 2 has some competition for best game of 2008 I think....

my reasons- don't know about the story yet so i can't comment on that. The combat looks boring in my opinion, but we've only had a small taster of it i think after hearing about the huge number of weapons. graphics looks ok but i don't mind. hopefully the story will be great to push it up to the "awesome" status.

i still miss the spark i'm looking for...

but i like the NO loading times, the interactivity even during cinematics, the 4 times AA..

We'll see, I don't know how it'll turn out finally but I hope it turns out AA or better, I'd love to see the pre-mature critics eat their words.

created their own engine for it. even if it doesn't live up to the hype it should still have a great storyline.
