Too Human Opinon Poll...Updated with NEW Blog and Video

I have high hopes for this game since it finally has a fublisher that is willing to back it in MS.

however, it recieved a very negative preview in E306, and recently got lots of positive press in its new unveiling.

For those who dont know, Too Human is an action RPG from Silicon Knights. the melee combat is done on the right stick, and the firearms are a combo of right stick and triggers. the game also uses detailed skill trees and loot collection systems, along with a starting roster of 6 varied classes.

it looks, from what i have seen, that it will be great. great story (futuristic lord of the rings), great RPGness.

i think once the demo comes out in a couple of months, it will be more clear

Death by Degrees had combat that was on the right stick too. And it sucked. Rise to Honor was the same way, and it was a pretty crappy title too. I have no faith in Too Human whatsoever. TekkenMaster606

Gamespot played it and said that the combat worked pretty well.

I'm excited and hoping it delivers.

The impressions I got from 1up were pretty good. And a 4 player co-op action game is always welcome.

I say 7.5 to 8.5

Never have I seen a game give meaning to the phrase "wait till the reviews come in" quite so much as Too Human.

Its a new IP so it can range from around an 8 (Mass Effect) all the way up to around a 9 (GeOW). But I know its going to sell regardless. Microsoft knows how to advertise these games and even if its not advertise that well the 360 owners love playing games and will help game sales for this game.

In my opinion it looks and sounds great. It's a shame so many people under estimate Silicon Knights.

Well Lair is on the PS3 so yeah, and Too Human you use lots of guns not like in Blue Dragon, and you know how 360 love these shooters. It'll sell.

2) Games dont need guns to be good
3) Sales dont equal good games

I'm still annoyed by the camera and stiff animations, but the premise looks interesting and they're claiming big things with the story, so I'm willing to buy it if it scores 6.0 and up.Blue-Sky

Same here. I have always said, and I still say that I believe Too Human will end up being one of the top 5-10 games that the 360 will have. (I know...."says the guy with the Too Human sig", lol) It is a perfect blend of my favorite genre's....action/adventure mixed with RPG, presented in a killer tale of Norse mythology wrapped in a sci fi package.

This game (the trilogy) is one of the main reasons that I own a 360 and is my most anticipated game right now going into 08'. I have faith in Silicon Knights to deliver on this game, as it has been the game that they have always wanted to make and I just do not think that they will half ass it on what is supposed to be the first installment of their magnum opus. I also personally think that this game will spank Mass Effect. In any event, we shall see.

Wow, you are really hyped for this! While I may not feel as strongly as you do, I am certainly getting more and more excited about it. It has the makings of a really great game. Hopefully something stupid won't mess it up.

And if it spanks Mass Effect, I will be overjoyed. ME is pretty much my favorite game of all time (tied with the Shenmues), so that would be spectacular.

It looks sloppy and looks like it plays sloppy. And the camera angles are just awful.

Nope, I guess the fact that Gamespot said "Incidentally, the right analog stick is also used to move your crosshair between targets when using ranged weapons, and we found that the system worked very well once we'd spent a little time with it" means that it plays sloppily.

What are you basing your opinion on Mike, the old E3 06 videos? Because I think the video that the TC posted looks a lot better (and in that one, it is a low level player).

MGS2 had combat on the right stick as well

i hope this game is good but i'm not getting my hopes up too high
