It's just this simple all developers will follow suit for future Hack&Slash games on consoles. Right analog stick will be forever on the stick to do the hacking and the slashing.

Silicon Knights has started the revaluation of Hack&Slash gaming on consoles. Say what you will it seems kooky at first but once you get used to it. It ROCKS and it's a perfect fit. It just takes awhile to relearn what you have been used to for basically ever. No more plain out button mashing. Now you need to be graceful with the analog stick to do your hacking and your slashing.

We should be praising Silicon Knights for there innovation. And please people learn the game and then make your thoughts don't just pick up the controller and say hey wait this blows because you are not used to it. Because once you train your mind to do it like this. You will be saying hey this is sweet.

What developers need to take from Silicon Knights is that to not be scared to try something new. Try breaking away from the tired formula and do something new.

there is no F'n way.....that game was about as clunky as they get.....it took them a friggin decade to come out with that .....definitly expected much more......DIABLO2 feels way better than that game

Actually most people who said this was because of there first play through of the demo. Go check the Too Human forums now mostly these same people have come back and said after a 3 or 4rth run through they have completely changed there mind and they love the game now. It's all because they got more accustomed to the analog stick as the control sheem. And now most think the game is simply brilliant.

Thumbstick control for anything is crap. I played Fight Night round 3 earlier and it's just not accurate enough using the thumbstick, it's a nice novelty but it gets irritating after a while.

Even when you get used to it and understand them it feels clunky and unnatural. Played the demo 3 times before deleting.

I couldn't make it through the demo even once... it was so tedious and boring. I would have rather tried to play DMC3 again (I'm not great at action games and found DMC3 to be so incredibly frustrating I just stopped playing it and never touched it again) then finished that demo. If the story and voice acting had been higher quality I might have been able to finish it regardless of the gameplay but it was just grating.

people who didn't like it need to play through again with the beserker. It will give you a better idea of what the melee speciallist can do. People also need to bear in mind that the speed with which your character attacks increases as you level up, the combat gets insanley fast even on the demo, with the beserker at a lvel 9 with a 4 combo meter. So much fun this game is.....:)

I know most have not even tried other players. And they have not even leveled up enough to even do anything. They just play it for 5mins say it blows becuase i'm not used to the analog stick and delete it and say it's crap.

There loss becuase this game is going to OWN for most of us over Xbox Live and coop.

I tried the demo and came to the conclusion that I won't even be renting it. You can think whatever you want, but if the players don't like the game then it isn't going to change anything. /facepalm

I do not think the game will fair well with the reviewers but I will say this is one of the funnest demos I have played in quite awhile. The controls are very fluid and responsive and once you get your duder to level 3 combo you are tearing stuff up. Spiders add a nice touch as does Ruiners(sp). I really think this is a hate it or love type of game for alot of people. I am in the love it category.

The artistic design of the levels and the music and sounds are superd. And no it's not the most tech demanding graphic wise game. I'm talking artistic nature of it. And the music especialy is going to be epic.

I'm not calling it AAA I have been saying it is a 8.5 i would imagine. It will be AAA in the minds of us who like it. But becuase the game will have such a love hate relationship fo so many. GS will go with the 8.5 score i bet.

We don't even know enough about the story to say for sure that its terrible. Although I did notice they are hodgepodging different sagas into one abomination. Grendel is from Beowulf, not the sagas. Aside from that, the voice acting ni the game was fairly decent. You have the guy who played Spike in Cowboy Beebop being one of the random pilot voices. I really liked the overall direction of the voice acting.

while the demo was very underwhelming..the analog stick for melee attacks was a pretty cool idea..but like someone mentioned earlier it made maneuvering the camera really annoying..so you always get the bad with the good

Ninja Gaiden is an action/adventure game. Too Human is an Action-RPG.

Ninja Gaiden is an action/adventure game. Too Human is an Action-RPG.

They approach combat the same way. I see no reason to differentiate them.

lol layered on top? there integral parts of the game. It's got hack and slash combat, in the same way mass effect had shooting. No one slated mass effect because the combat wasn't as good as gears of war, thats just stupid. This is an RPG loot fest, nothing even remotly like NG2

This is the first game I ever played that had the right analog stick as the attack.

Jet Li: Rise to Honor

To make the fighting move well and fit in with the cinematic theme, some questionable control decisions were made. While the left analog stick is for movement, the right analog stick is used for attacks. Tapping in one direction causes Jet Li to attack in that direction, which is especially useful in battles with multiple assailants. After stunning an enemy in one direction, it's easy to direct another blow at an opponent coming from a different direction. With a little bit of practice, it's easy to direct Jet Li into pulling off nice looking combos with two, three, or four different enemies at a time.

I guess playing the demo after having played Dead Rising and Mass Effect wasn't the best of ideas considering how fantastic the voice acting in those games are. At point it was severely grating... the dialogue just didn't fit.
