What would be your pick for the top 3 most memorable titles this gen? And what made each memorable to you?
P.S. one rule though, is you have to at least have finished the games you're listing.

MGS4
Mass Effect (PC)
COD4 or Galaxy, COD4 had more of an impact though, it's the first game that came close to Socom 2 in regards to playing time for me.
MGS4
Mass Effect
GTA4 (the best GTA yet)
Halo 3 (yeah, shutup. lotta great memories with this one)
Oblivion...which is way better than Morrowind BTW.
1. Metal Gear Solid 4
2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
3. Call of Duty 4
honourable mentions would be Halo 3, Gears 1, LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted to name a few
3)Wii Sports. Hate on it all you want, it showed a potentially new way to think about games. Too bad no one was there to push those ideas further than they have to this point.
If it was more than 3, I would add games like BioShock, WipEout HD, Braid, echochrome, SMG, Portal, etc, but I had to limit it to 3, so I chose the 3 that most stand out in my mind, although BioShock is arguably my favorite game this generation, console wise.
Wii Sports -- Swinging the wiimote in wii tennis for the very first time, Watching your parents really getting into a video game. Priceless.
Fallout 3 -- The game that got me back to RPGs. Oblivion and Neverwinter Nights 2 were such huge letdowns that they really soured my tastes for RPGs. Fallout 3 was the perfect remedy! I haven't been completely hooked in a game for a very long time, where 4 hours seems likes mere minutes.
Rock Band 2 -- Drunken Rock Band, anyone?
