which Games had the greatest bossfights?

I left out zelda tp because im not that far into the game yet. 

Either Metroid or SotC.

In all fairness, FFXI is a boring grind. It's not a matter of difficulty, but more of an endurance test.

Level 50 dragoon here, yes I played it probaly long before and after you did, that my recent char. I hated every min I played the game, sadly when your in the NWT's there isnt much else to do besides look at snow or play on 56k. Guess which game can run on 56k, that lame game.

The char I have left is on Gilgamesh, dont be such a noob to call people out as your last resort you know, this place is filled with gamers.

Wait did he just say smithy iis weak when in FFxi most chars get a max of like 5 abilities? OMG I casted fire 3 instead of Icereatrd 3 OMG what will I cast next maybe Thunderaga!!! OMG everything is weak to distortion and light Renkais, quick burst teh holy ; ; you missed teh burst noob.

4 hours of tiamat isnt hard its just freaking pointless. CoT is the lamest thing I have ever heard of also. Promivion is so stupid almost everyone is sub ninja, and yes Dragoon is the pimpest calss in the game.

ANyways, since it's not there, I went with God of War 2

RE4 and OOT had the best boss fights I've ever seen. And Starfox on SNES was also good.

Winner has to be the Ganandorf fight where he jumps out of the paintings at you on horseback, or in RE4 where you had to Krauser in the knife fight or that dude where you had to kick down the tanks to freeze him.

 Bad ass. Special mention goes to the old guy in MGS3 with the sniper rifle, kinda boring but very original.

Anyways, HNM battles do pose a challenge. And leveling drk sucks because I can't stand you /emo drks complain about getting your party invites taken away from monks and warriors.

loldrg. Looking for party does suck I'll admit, especially when you're a dragoon. Dragoons are useless, and they're not the pimpest class in the game. That would go to Red Mage just because of the hat.

If Drk's are in pain from not getting parties try a dragoon XD Either way the game is lame, before an airship pass flows your way, it takes you 15mins choco from any major city to jeuno... Thats freaking insane, you know how many times you make that trip!! Like 50+ per F*** job!!!

DD's with hate control and AoE dodge are only usless to a LS who is to stupid to us them, plus Dragons do MASSIVE historical damage to HMNS.

Who cares? I stopped playing around a year ago, in order to save my sanity. And no, HNMs aren't a challenge either. It's all about how long you can wait there to get a spawn window for it, then coming back and claiming with your LS. Rare items are way too hard to find. Hell, on Gilgamesh, only 2-3 people had some of the pimpest gear on the game, and they belonged to pure Japanese LSes that do nothing but monopolize HNMs and other NMs. I'd say things like the Maat fights and the Aht Urghan assaults and stuff are challenging, but there's not much of an endgame in FFXI for people who have lives.

I don't think any boss fights in FF games beat those in FF7.  The first time you fight weapon was a trip.

You need an "other" choice instead.

Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 take the cake with the Harrier Jumpjet and The End boss battles, those were epic in every sense of the word.

No Ninja Gaiden?  Probably the toughest boss fights ever.

One of my favorites was the giant great white shark in RE (for Gamecube).

I bought it second hand, I'm up to the 6th boss I think. Kinda not feeling the game so far. Searching for the bosses is a pain at times, and the controls are fighting against me, Atmosphere seems kinda dull but that's the same way it was in Ico, it's just the way these games are. I'm going to give it a chance and carry on after I finish Okami. I can see a good game in there waiting to come out.

If that makes sense.

As for the bosses, cool but not the best ever from what I've seen. They just seem to plod around the landscapes without much fight in them. I'm sure it will change later on.

Wait until you fight the sand dragon, it's the most freakin' epic boss battle I've ever played!
