idk about best 5 or anything but my all time fav this gen (for consoles) was bf 43.

even though it sucked it never got more maps it just felt like the fairest most balanced mp shooter this gen.

no lvling up crap, no unfair advantages just everyone with the same weapons loadouts playing on an even field with each other.

i did not play a better balanced shooter this entire gen.

I've only got four, don't really play many online FPS games; sadly.

And uhh...ya those are the only online FPS games I like. Halo though is also good, I would put Halo Reach up there in terms of MP.

In no particular order;

Bioshock 2 - I know it's not the most refined shooter out there and it did feel kinda tacked on, but I enjoyed it a whole lot more than most MPs.

Battlefield 2142 - It gets overlooked a lot but it's my favorite Battlefield.

Team Fortress 2 - I don't like it that much, but I can't question that it's incredibly well-designed/executed.

Killing Floor - I'm not a big co-op person, but Killing Floor just does it right and the shooting feels really good.

ARMA II(and I mean ARMA II, not f*cking DayZ) - No other video game out there has gotten realism and tactical play down as well as ARMA II and even when it's frustrating as hell(which is most of the time), it's still super fun.

TF2, No question the best.

Halo Reach, Liked it more than Halo 3, despite some weird choices

Left 4 Dead, kinda sick of it now, but it's a great game

Bad Company 2, Honestly the most fun Battlefield game ever
