Top 5 PS3 Games That 360 Fanboys Wish They Had.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side, and while proponents of the Xbox 360 will always look upon its offerings with confidence and content, we're sure that a few can't resist occasionally peeking over the fence to see what the neighbors are playing. Obviously, the 360 has a fairly balanced line up of exclusive titles, but then again it's human nature to desire what you can't have, and there are definitely some experiences on the PS3 that just aren't available anywhere else. So join us as we take a look at the top 5 PS3 games that 360 gamers wouldn't mind seeing on their perspective console.

5. Final Fantasy XIII

Although the 360 does have Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, both of which come directly from the man behind FF himself, there really isn't a JRPG to be found on the 360 that comes anywhere close to matching Final Fantasy. It's even quite possible that no other JRPG will ever out do this longstanding franchise. To have the next chapter appear on the 360 would be a delight for any owner, and even the ones that don't enjoy RPG's would revel in their counterparts' anguish of losing one of Sony's most important exclusives. Yes, the 360 did receive Final Fantasy XI, but everyone knows how MMO games usually pan out on Microsoft's console. We're sure that most 360 gamers are still praying for the true arrival of this franchise, rather some shotty port of a lesser entry in the series.

4. Grand Turismo 5

Racing genre junkies who own both Xbox consoles have always been able to rely on getting their fix with the Project Gotham Racing series, but when it comes to the true gear heads that put motor oil in their breakfast cereal, no other series will substitute GT (not even you Forza). With over 900 cars, GT 5 offers a plethora of racing possibilities, and let's not forget those stunning graphics that make us feel like a deer caught in a pair of virtual headlights that can't quite comprehend what it's seeing. The only real comfort 360 owners can take in having to live without this franchise is that PS3 gamers may not be able to enjoy the full game until after 2009.

3. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

There aren't many other games quite like Uncharted in general, let alone on the 360. With its intuitive mix of platforming, puzzle solving, and straight up shooting, Uncharted delivers a blockbuster of an adventure that could compete with any summer movie release, and would surely please gamers of either platfom. Not only is Uncharted an important title for its genre, but it also symbolizes the great gaming that can be had on the PS3 as one of the best titles the system has to offer. We can't really think of any good substitute on the 360 that offers the same ****and story that Uncharted does, which makes it one of the most envied PS3 games of all. Although the series is just starting out, don't bother hoping for a reverse BioShock effect, as Sony owns the developer, Naughty Dog.

We can list Japanese RPG games or racing sims until HD-DVD makes a comeback, but the truth is that what 360 gamers really live for are First Person Shooters, so much that we didn't use the usual acronym. Yes, the 360 is by no means suffering any shortage in the shooter market, but the genre is so near and dear to many who own the console that some jealousy is to be expected at seeing PS3 owners enjoying one FPS franchise that Xbox owners cannot. It's like taking a Star Wars fan and a Trekkie, then giving the latter a lock of George Lucas' hair. With the sequel's promise of even more nifty weaponry and an astonishing 60 player online component, the Resistance games offer a very real FPS experience that just plain can't be found on the 360. Blasphemy isn't it?

MGS 4 makes it to the top of our list not only because it happens to be the timeliest (releasing this week), but the incredible history of rampant speculation concerning a 360 version point to one thing: Xbox gamers want it BAD. Maybe the root of all this vague hope can be traced back to the taste of the franchise that Substance gave to the original Xbox, or perhaps the envy spawns from all the notoriety the series has in general. Even the most ardent 360 fanboy cannot deny that the Metal Gear Solid series is a hallmark in the history of videogames, offering unrivaled stealth action with a storyline worthy of excessively long cutscenes. Naturally, the most loyal Xbox owner would deny any desire to play it, but don't think for a second that a 360 port of MGS 4 would be any less successful than former Sony exclusive Grand Theft Auto.

Now before we starting getting a barrage of hate mail from all you 360 gamers threatening to carve three bloody quadrants into our foreheads, remember that this door swings both ways. Good list. Alot of 360 owners seem to diss the hell out of Resisitance: Fall of Man, even though it had one of the best online set-ups ive ever seen in any online game. Lemmings can't disagree about not wanting MGS4 though =P.

Anyways, on the flip side. I hope that PS3 owners will be able to experience KOTOR3.

i will admit i was pretty tempted to buy a ps3 just for mgs4 a week or two ago, but i think i would much rather have a 360 atm.

All sequels...who cares. Fanboys dont get it. I got a 360 and its ok, not the end of all systems. I dont have a ps3 i do want one, but with gas prices insane now and money low i cant afford, at this moment. I dont think 360 and PS3 arent that big of a deal anyway like you guys say. Gran Turismo 1 on Psone was awesome...but by now just like Halo 3 or MGS 4 its all bout the fanbase. If your a fan of the first your gonna be in the long haul for it.

If you wanna make a better list how bout this: Why has gaming went downhill since the PS 1, N64 generation.

My answer would be cause back then gaming was still bout gaming, now its ultra popular and all these newbies got into it. Meh StarCraft 2 and Street Fighter 4 are the only sequels that look good.

I want a PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 like alot of people, but then again as much as i do, i realize ill be dropping 500 plus for a game that prob 65 percent of it is watching. I rather play NHL 94 on Genesis

Resistance and uncharted aren't games those fanboys want unless they really want to be fanboys and not gamers, because talk about uncarted borefest, its only apeal is graphics and thats only in certain areas that the game looks good. Resistance 1 sucked really bad online, was more like serious same back when it touched the gamecube, but worse, because that serious sam was actually good.

A 360 fanboy would only want those games because they could take away the annoying cow arguemnts say uncharted looks the best but when u play it, it clearly doesn't look any better then any other current titles and with reistsance it only boasts high player count which is a stupid arguemnt among fanboys because that means nothing. With Resistance 1 and 2 wouldn't it be top 6 PS3 games (unless they are saying Resistance 1 and 2 only counts for a half a game).

Anyways I would not have Resistance on that list, if I was a lemming I would want Disgaea 3 more than Resistance 1 and 2

I don't have it online, so I don't think it links with the main site. And it was a very good set-up, it even had a built-in clan page with message boards. I have plenty of great online games, including Battlefield 2 (PC), Call of Duty 4, Warhawk, and others. I do have Halo 3 for my 360, and im just fine with playing it offline.

From that list, I would say Uncharted is the only game I would like to have.

I wouldn't mind playing FF13, but it probably keeps to the same scripted characters, and I much prefer molding my own with complete freedom of customization; of abilities, character personality, and the path I choose to take (good, evil, or anything in between). So for me it's Mass Effect and KOTOR all the way.

Forza 2 is now the true racing simulator on consoles with all the detailed engine modding, racing physics, damage modelling, and the sweet addition of true artistic crafting of painting designs, where you can make a car uniquely your own. Beats out GT.

Resistance? Why, when I have top rated shooters like Halo 3, COD 4, Gears, and others?

And with all respect to Kojima's story craft, I still prefer the realistic global affairs terrorism plots of Splinter Cell series, with it's richly detailed stealth game mechanics.

Other games on PS3's roster I can say I would like to play are Ratchet FTOD, SotC 2, Heavenly Sword, and GoW 3. Though I do still get to enjoy Ninja Gaiden 2 and DMC 4 :)

Killzone- Lemmings love to say "oh, this game will suck, blah, blah, blah, but honestly what system owner wouldnt want to play a game as good-looking as this. Plus, i think it will be a great game.

MGS4-Every fanboy knows this game is gonna be awesome, who wouldn't want this in their library.

The Whole Insomiac Development Team- Really, when do these guys make bad games. They make the Ratchet and Clank games, and they are the guys behing Resistance 1 and 2.

Uncharted- I mainly put this one because it around here, it is considered the console graphics king. Plus it is a great game.

God of War- Even though this game is a ways off, it will undeniably be hot. Kratos is a badazz and all GOW games are great.

I personally don't have a ps3 or 360 yet (I am planning on purchasing a 360 soon).

1. MGS4 doesn't interest me at all, I have played the original for the ps1. It was fun but I personally don't like the style.

2. Although I love fps, Resistance looked odd to me, maybe just because I prefer WWII to be separate from sci-fi.

3. Uncharted looks like a beautiful game and seems to have an interesting story, but I would say only rent worthy.

4. Gran Turismo is cool and looks graphically well done, I would be just as content with Forza 2.

5. Now don't get me started about Final Fantasy. I personally hate the franchise and I am glad it will stay far away from the 360.

The only one I can be certain I will enjoy is GoW. 1 and 2 were awesome. FFXIII looks promising but so does every FF game that is released. X and XII very dissappointing imo. Echochrome is a puzzle game. I enjoy puzzle games but how long will I enjoy this. Tekken 6 looks to be like Tekken 5. Great game but wore off really fast for me. So I'm definately not too thrilled about 6.

I mostly want MGS4 because I played all the other ones, not because it's a hyped game for the PS3. I would like to play Uncharted, but it's not a must have and it looks like a rental. And I would definitely want to play FF because I liked FFX

I hate to break it to you, but the 2nd installment of Resistance, 4th of Metal Gear Solid, and 13th installment of final fantasy does absolutly nothing for me or most 360 fans. Nobody wants to pick up these games that are part of a long running series if they haven't played the earlier games. And if we are talking fps...are you forgetting that Halo 3...one of the most sucessfull fps of all time, is on the 360? I don't think people are going to cry over not being able to play Resistance.

i agree with MGS4 being first because we can still see some lemmings claiming that it will come to 360 some day.

but i have to disagree with FFXIII on 5th, you'll see, when that game is close to release, these boards will be burning hot.

The gr turismo series is a game of the past, why? becuase it so fails to do what many racing games (simulation games) do, have realistic car physics (talk to me when the bumper car physics are gone) and a descent damage to the cars, it doesn't have to be cosmetic damage, but let's have some engine/transmission wear, plz.

Now substance was a poor excuse for a game, heck Metal Gear 2 was a weaker game than Metal Gear 3, the only reason Metal Gear 2 got such a score was because it was the first game that actually looked descent for last generation launch games. It seriouslly lacked gameplay, I often found myself more bored than anything.
