Topic: Internet connection What's your internet speed?/What is a good speed?

Didn't know where to put this. since it involves all systems, and has some bragging rights in it i figured this is best place.

Anyway. Curious what everyone's speed is. general location. Big think i want to know is how Americas internet infrastructure is. I know we are generally slower than the rest of the world. Plus what is considered a good speed for internet gaming?? etc.

BTW. mine is at 25mps

Plus i heard one of the consoles regulates top speed at 50mps. Any confirmation on this?

mine is 54mps and i live in new york on the east coast

Do you online game? your lag would seem to be killer.

Seems people have a decent speed. When i had 5mps i know i couldn't host games, but played lag free. Seems like 10mps is a good speed for hosting and playing. I'm in the midwest. enjoying my fiberoptics. I figured the coast's would have a good speed.

See the funny thing is, im not host 99.999% of the time (probably the only time is in cage match game modes), but i dont really lag....that internet speed is the product of living in the secluded suburbs....

10mbps connection. Can't post speed tests becaus i'm at my gf's :P
