Runic Games just announced the sequel to their pretty good hack'n'slash RPG game: Torchlight. While it was an obvious rip off of the Diablo games (some of the Diablo team worked on Torchlight) still, it was pretty amazing – as low budget as it was.

It was so amazing in fact, that we can expect the sequel spring next year. The biggest new feature is online co-op, which should provide a much welcome slice of variety to the game. Fully customizable characters and a new, improved user interface have also been promised.Since Diablo III is still ages away, Runic will fill the hole once again with this sequel which looks promising.

nice I still need finish the first one. i hope it has the same graphics too.

The first game was "ok", lack the charm and addictiveness of diablo, but I got it for about $5 so it was tremendous value. Co-op adds a welcome change of pace though.

ehh I wouldn't let it stop you. Next time it's 5 bux pick it up I've put more hours into it than some 60 dollar games. Easily you can go 23 hours without actually beating the game.

The first torchlight game was fun to play, I could go on for hours playing, only problem is the limits in fame, levels and skills. You could install mods to remove these limit caps but I wish the next torchlight shouldn't have level limits, just make the game harder for balance.

Never got the first one, the demo didn't really impress me. But the new features sound so good that I might get this one.

To me a dungeon crawler with no coop is no fun.
