I like how you have to mention that its not f2p to let some of the posters know that PC gaming isn't just all "f2p trash."
Wow, the gameplay looks very nice actually... Interested to see how the game progresses before its release.
Argggg, its a 15$ pre-order. Must resist and wait to see how it progresses.
nice find tc, that looked great, will defo be keeping an eye on this one. also really liking the recent interest in devs to return to arena shooters. halo 5/unreal and now this HELL YESS
Looks very Halo-y but with movement and controls similar to Unreal T. The games website here for anyone interested.
the artstyle is very halo like and the gameplay looks very unreal like, even that gun at the end was similar to redeemer
Cool concept. Lame title
+1 name is awful

After years of having way too many COD clones, some that were awful, others that destroyed an entire series (MOH) or came close too (The Cartel), it's great to see developers finally going back to older shooter concepts.
Wolfenstein and Shadow Warrior already turned back to old school roots, but they were singleplayer.
And I found that Titanfall was a great combination of old and new shooter design.

yet to play wolfenstein but have been hearing a lot of good things about it, prob grab it during steam sales. titanfall is disapointing, they have good ideas but i didnt like the execution. if they make a pilot vs pilot mode + 24 players + no bots + increased player health, it has serious potential.

Do give it a try. Wolfenstein was a great game and it was lenghty too.
Pilot vs Pilot wouldn't be a bad idea. But I never had a problem with the 6v6. You'll always be plenty busy, even if you ignore all the spectres and grunts.
But I wouldn't say no to an 8V8 pilot vs pilot mode that had no grunts or spectres.
The area where they really failed was trying to combine SP with MP. They said something along the lines of 'people play the SP for 4 hours and then jump into multiplayer making the SP forgettable'... Yet, there are so many great singleplayer FPS campaigns that people still praise and people still play today. And somehow they managed to make one of the most forgettable campaigns and stories (was there a story ? I couldn't focus on it) in an FPS in the past years.
But the pure multiplayer, yeah that is where they succeeded. Though not without faults. But they also have improved a lot :)
@ghostwarrior786: For wolfenstein make sure you don't have windows 8 or any amd products. Huge problems with both
lol windows 8 screw that shit and i always go with intel/nvidia. might just get it for x1 when i buy the console this fall my graphic card is old 9800gt
This actually looks pretty good. If they can make it happen, along with UT4, i'llbe very, very happy. Also like the halo asthetics. I've always enjoyed those actually.
I'd play it though the no reloading thing, I don't get. I figured arena style FPSs had it back then.......
looks like a spiritual successor to unreal tournament 2004. i know most of the epic guys who made that no longer work at epic.
edit - made by a german studio so no connection there. ill have to check this out, im not too confident in epics next unreal after ut3.
I have a feeling this isn't going to sell very well due to Unreal Tournament being in development. Unless if a really popular YouTuber such as Totalbiscuit can get thier hands on, then it should have a chance.
Eh. When it comes to fast Quake 3 style shooters I want tight maps without vehicles.
Otherwise, might as well just play Tribes Ascend.
So was Nexuiz, and by the state of their homepage you can tell how that went.
The comercial version of Nexuiz was a very different deal than this, first of all it was made with consoles in mind and soured the fanbase after all that happened with the open source Nexuiz, secondly, the page is in that state because the game was published by THQ and since THQ went down no one can play the game anymore, effectively screwing the community, wich was already small to begin with considering what Illfonic did and the general quality of the game, that aside from being the most obvious console port ever it wasnt any good to begin with.

So an even more niche arena shooter trying to fit into a smaller and even more over saturated market is going to do better?
Didn't work for Shootmania.
@Wasdie: I´m not saying it will do better or worse, just that the context in wich they were developed/lauched was very different. Also the timing is important, since there seems to be a resurgence in the genre with epic bringing back UT and Cliff also developing a new arena shooter,Blue Streak, creating quite a bit of hype for the genre that wasn´t there not long ago.
@Nanomage: But there's the real death of this game. UT. Why the hell would anybody pay for this when a totally free revival of the arena shooter genre is being released with a huge emphasis on user driven content and on one of the best video game engines ever created?
These poor guys started development of this game before UT was ever announced. This game is DoA.

Play it while UT is not available?
Looks ok but I hate the "LOOK AT US! We're not CoD" vibe the trailer gave off.
lol good

Why? This game costs money, UT doesn't.
UT will be out before you know it. It's going to release in a very early state and be playable very early on. They are going to keep the development open so the community gives them direct feedback from day one.

I've Windows 8 and Wolf NO worked perfectly on my rig.
Toxikk looks awesome despite the terrible name, will keep an eye out for it.

Ammo would refresh when you picked up the ammo instead of having to pick it up then reload.

Ya, it's something with the AMD card with Windows 8 (Since windows 7 and AMD works fine)... after buying it I checked if this was a concurrent problem... yup, lucky buyer am I. (Or could just be my computer, but its just a bit strange that wolfenstein crashes yet I can run games like BF4, Crysis 3, and Watch_Dogs just fine.)
