Newest Days Gone trailer that dropped today. Game keeps looking better and better; pretty hyped! I've always been a sucker for open world games and zombies so the two together is very nice.

generic zombie: The game
Yeah, pretty much generic biker dude fighting generic zombies but maybe the gameplay will be fun enough to look past that I hope so at least.
They keep delaying this game because even the creators know it's generic. Much more excited for Dying Light 2 or Metro Exudus.
It got a bit of hate last year when they showed the game off from how everything was shaping up; even on here but this mew trailer shows they've been polishing the game very well.
Trailer looks good, but I worry about framerate with those huge hordes. Also, I hope they include a first person option.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for Zombie games, but Days Gone however, it did peak my interest at first but when Dying Light 2 got announce back at E3 2018, Days Gone just fell off the grid for me and no, it's not like I'm dismissing this game, I'm more hype for Dying Light 2 then anything else (besides Resident Evil 2 remake) at this point. I will admit, you are the first person I seen here is hype for Days Gone. I just haven't seen anyone around here isn't but you took me by surprise.
As for the gameplay trailer, I will admit, that was really good. It's not a day one purchase but I'll wait for a sale down the road though.
Liked the E3 reveal but the more I see this game the less I'm interested in it. This trailer is pretty cool, but it's not changing my mind.
I still don't get the hate on this game. Looks really good and fun from what I have seen. Death Stranding on the other hand....
I'm hopeful for this game. I like the bike travel but I get where some are coming from. The Zombie thing is getting stale even if you call them "freakers" LOL. But I hope its fun.
A zombie game without coop is unacceptible imo. the only exception is TLOU. Gonna wait till its around $20 in a year or so like im doing with spiderman.
I'd be far more interested in this game if there were a co-op campaign. The environment and gameplay lend itself well to being able to traverse the wilderness and blow up hundreds of zombies with a buddy. I'll still be buying, and will no doubt still enjoy the game.

I hope World war z delivers. The gameplay has seemed decent in the gameplay trailers so far though i prefer if it was a fps like L4D.

TBH, I forgot all about WWZ. It looks luke-warm atm, but if it delivers even a little, then i'm down to try the game.
Mix Last of Us & rage in a pan, bring to the boil.......and this is what comes out.
Looks worth a go........
Looks way better than the last trailer. The last zombie game I played was TLOU so I'm not burnt out by another one yet.

Yeah, I use to be the odd ball even when previous gameplay trailers and info was talked about here last year...lmao. End of the day though if I like a game I like a game; regardless of the platform it is on. I'm also hyped for Dying Light 2 as the first one was awesome! Definitely picking up Resident Evil 2 as I enjoyed the demo and love the ultrawide support it got.
Looks OK to me, better than the shitty zombie games on Xbox at least.
I looked at the State of Decay 2 trailer after looking at this one and I laughed. Still can't believe Microsoft bought that dev. Phil Spencer is like a character from the Silicon Valley TV show, possibly insane.
@ghosts4ever: I thought Xbox fans love generic games. Anytime a game shows character, it's called a movie game.
When the game was originally unveiled, I thought it looked like a horrible QTE-fest movie game. Now that some gameplay has been shown, it looks a lot better. Don't get me wrong, I find the concept of an open world zombie game with cinematic flair very unoriginal. But if the gameplay is interesting enough, I may give it a purchase. Wait and see.
Color me HYPED!!!!!
Days Gone is definitely a GOTY contender! Sure we've seen games similar to this before. Haters will say that it's a knockoff Tlou game. Lems will say that they've already had their fill of Zombie games with State of Decay 1 and 2. Of course others will say that it reminds them too much of The Walking Dead with the biker aspect and all.
They're all wrong!! This game is gonna knock it out of the park!
Something about that trailer gave me a State of Decay vibe. Makes me want to see what Undead Labs can do with a real budget.
I thoroughly enjoyed State of Decay when I got it on PC. I was excited for State of Decay 2 despite how it was looking before release. Was disappointed in the game. It was an overall okay game; online mode was pretty bad though how it was implemented. I did beat it and had some fun moments but it could have been way better if they had more of a budget like you mentioned.
Yeah if only Microsoft had more money, that's the problem...
How many billions does it take to make a polished game?
Sometimes it seems like the more money you spend on a game, the more unwieldy it can get.
@dagubot: yeah SoD2 was a pretty big let down. I enjoyed it well enough for a brief period, but I can't see myself firing it up again unless my buds really really wanted to play it more - and I haven't heard any interest from them either.
To be honest, as janky as it is, 7dtd is such a deeper and more rewarding MP zombie grind than sod2. The voxel-based system offers so much crafting and construction freedom. It looks less polished, but there's a lot more going on under the hood there
The concept of a motorbike fighting zombies sounds fun. But that didn't particularly look fun.
Was pretty joyless with no gameplay hook other than the typical Sony "dis just like a movie durdurdurdurdur".
Come to think of it this is a pile of shit.
