Transformers: Devastation - It's Almost Here

An Activision and Platinum Games joint. Last time that happened, we got Legend of Korra, which I played and finished. It was... not brilliant.

But what about this? It's coming out in like 3 or 4 days. Interested? I have it preordered, and all that nonsense. Really excited to get my autobot on.

Still not sold on this game, I mean it could be a sleeper hit like Until Dawn but I doubt it.

I agree though the game looks like fun and I like how they tried to make it look more like the original cartoon.

Neither was Bayonetta 2, and in many ways, it was better than the first Bayonetta.

Forgot the name but there was one on the PS2 that was dope as hell, it was made by atari. Fall of Cybertron was also a pretty good game as well, but everything else was ether meh or bad.

The colors and style just perfectly capture that 80's feel I love it. Also having light rpg elements like mixing/matching and upgrading weapons sounds fantastic.

Man, I wish they would make a transformers film based around g1 and set it during the 80's. Michael Bay nowhere in site of course, I always hated his robot designs it just looked like a mass of transforming metal garbage 90% of the time they were on screen.

That grimlock vs soundwave part had me. I agree with that guy that he loved the art style of G1 and the game actually one ups the G1 art style.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 proved that.

I'm looking forward to it. I would have preferred a sequel to Fall of Cybertron (which was absolutely awesome on all fronts, especially multiplayer), but this game looks fun in its own right.

All I know is if this game has "The Touch" by Stan Bush on its soundtrack I would spend $1000 to own it.

I love Platinum, but I know when to stay clear of an Activision cash grab. Besides, I don't like Transformers.

Yup. Played that. And that was weirdly interesting. Great visuals.

And besides having a meh publisher, it's also developed by a studio that doesn't do good games. Platinum doesn't fit that. I'm not telling you that Devastation is going to be brilliant, but the people behind it are more talented than the ones that did the new Tony Hawk.

Love me some Platinum, but Legend of Korra was a little rough to play. It was made more annoying when after you unlock everything you realize how much potential that game could have had with how good that combat could be. I'm looking forward to this though, I would like a licensed Platinum game to be a good game.

Truth facts.

I love platinum but my hype is 0 for this. It screams budget title and though it looks a little better than Korra that's not saying much.

Visually it looks great but I'm expecting it to be a very short game, maybe around 5 hours of gameplay.

Oh yes sir as a massive G1 fan I am mega stoked for this game. I'm sure I'll like it based on the footage I've seen so far, I mean those graphics are jaw dropping it's like you're controlling the G1 cartoon. Hopefully the gameplay is equally impressive.....day 1 for me

A Platinum game with Activision as publisher... NOPE!

This latest installment has me a bit apprehensive. What has been shown looks visually stimulating for G1 fans but other than that I'm not sure what this game is about and what it entails. Can you level up, change gear, etc.., ?

Considering the last game (The Dark Spark) was one of the worst games I've EVER played, I am extremely hesitant when deciding whether or not to purchase this game. On the surface it is appealing but I need to know what's under the surface before I drop good coin on it.

I have Disgaea 5, Until Dawn, and Witcher 3 to play first but I will get to this game.

So dope. I can't wait.

I tried the last Transformers game, didnt care much for it, but I'll keep this one in mind for rental.

I won't buy at full price due to Activision.

However, I do like the style and choice of canon. Also, I like the developer, but I don't like the developer + Activision's last game.

I think this game will lean more towards "Activision movie-franchise quality" than "Platinum quality"

But I really hope I'm wrong. I love Transformers. I love action game. It's a match made in heaven (just wish it had a different publisher)

I don't really get the Korra hate. Fine game. It was fifteen bucks, of course it wasn't going to be Bayonetta 3. For what it was, it was solid. And I look forward to Transformers with my expectations in check
