Sticking them to just one game is pretty unfair and just a waste of talent. I'd love to see them try something else outside the CoD franchise but that ain't happening anymore.

How can any Call of Duty game look good? It just looks like the exact same thing that has already been released many times before.

Treyarch's take on World At War was good, and unfairly based. The game scored good on Metacritic, and everywhere else. You base it on myth. WaW was not IW caliber, but it was a good game.

no sorry it was a crappy game, it was COD4 but skinned with WW2. Otherwise every problem in COD4 was present in WAW along with a whole new set of problems including over powered crappy vehicles.

Their COD games are barely AA material at Metacritic...but I guess ACTI has no choice. Treyarch's Spidey games were fun. Oh well, I'm not buying their COD games, I already bought two and they were merely servicable for me. It was something to play while waiting for IW's game...too bad IW has been completely gutted and ruined.

Treyarch provides a much better value for their games all around. WAW zombie mode was a massive hit, everyone knows this, people on my friends list bought the game just for that and the Co-op was very good and smooth.

Treyarch gets so much undeserved hate, nothing was wrong with World at War other than being the same thing as Modern Warfare with a different skin, and Treyarch actually threw in a few new things like Nazi Zombies. Do you think Treyarch just makes Call of Duty games to rip-off Infinity Ward? No, Treyarch is owned and Treyarch does what Acitivision tells them too. It isn't like the employees of Treyarch woke up one morning and went "We want to rip-off Inifnity Ward's success and make Call of Duty games for the rest of our careers."

Their last one was Spider-Man 3. Web of Shadows was mostly done by Shaba and that studio just got shutdown.

Either way, after this next Spider-Man game, Disney will be in charge of them since they acquired Marvel.

Treyarch is a great studio and it's sad to see them pideonholed into making Call of Duty games. I guess Activision figures that they aen't milking it hard enough yet.

You do realize that they're the same guys who made Call of Duty: United Offensive, right? At least the same guys before merging with another company to form Treyarch we know today. Just because they made a game like Call of Duty 3 on a rushed deadline doesn't make them crappy. Besides, it's not like Infinity Ward games are infallible either.

I don't want either if they continue to make crappy games. I loved COD 4 but MW2 gets on my nerves. Black ops is sure to use the MW2 engine. Just look at the trailer it's like they took MW2 and put new skins on them.

Hmmm.... let's look at your logic. Call of Duty uses a modified Quake 3 engine. Therefore every Call of Duty plays like Quake 3, right? I mean, according to your logic, because they basically use the same engine. Please.

Actually, the firings are probably the best thing that could have happened to IW. Treyarch would be better off if they weren't with Activision. Actually, all of Activision's developers would be better off (Except for the ones who actually want to make the same crap every year, I suppose).

Activision is now a 100% worthless company to me. Talk to me when you have a piece of software that appeals to something above the sheep that buy anything with a brand label slapped on it. Take note, I'm the opposite. I pay attention to the publisher and I'll be voicing my opinion loudly on Activision and their total lack of integrity or creativity. You want the new Call of Duty, I'll say. Take your pick, they're all the same, I'll say.

The fans wanted Guitar Hero, or so Activision was hilariously led to believe before that attempt to capitalize solely on a brand name ended in the cutting of multiple IPs and the closings of several studios. Likewise with Tony Hawk. We'll see how this goes. I'll give it 2 games before even the average individual figures out that it's just the same damn thing with a bigger number.

BUt as of right now there's 15 million people already waiting in line to get the next CoD game. Doesn't matter if the franchise dies in a year or two.

I am? no I said no such thing. I am saying that WAW is a crappy copy skinned version of MW1, In reality MW1 was a great game...all things have problems, its when your problems outweigh and outnumber your positive parts that things are considered bad. Mw1 was great it had problems, WAW was crap because it was just MW1 with none of the problems fixed, skinned like WW2 and had loads of problems of its own to add on, thus it was a crappy game. And Zombie mode wasn't good it was juts a 4 player coop shoot fest with the majority of good scored players those that knew how to take advantage of problems in that mode, and glitches for that matter. the majority of high scoring individuals in Zombie mode were not legit.

I actually liked Treyarchs latest COD games. I liked COD 3 quit a bit, and WaW also. Although, if they are only COD now, then WTF is IW going to do? Are they just going to merge the two?
