True, that RE5 control scheme is incedibly dumb. At this point I still think the wii mote is the most refined controller in terms of layout between the 2. I have no clue about Natal yet.

I think it's a little early to compare the three. Less wait until all three have at least come out.

Both PS3 Wand andNatal have fatal flaws that make them worse than the Wii Mote.

PS3 Wand: No Nunchuk-like accesory...but why do that when you can just connect the whole Dualshock Controller to the wand...Right?

Natal: No Controller. Severly limits genre possibilities.

Wii Motion+ = PS3 Wand>Natal>Wii-mote

Thats what i believe. But Natal would only work for me if they gave you like lets say the halo battle rifle to play a gun game :p

How can you judge -- one is already out on the market and the other two aren't.

Edit: Wow, thats so fail. Who the hell thoughtthatwould be a good control scheme?

TRUE.

Wii Mote is #1.

I can't give an honest opinion about NATAL or PSWand until they are actually out. I can say Wii is #1, since I have actually tested it. :)

me_rock

Would you need to stand up to play RE5?

to psycho analyze his response.. nike_air seems to be a ps3 fan... ps3 fans usually dislike x360 the most and obviously defend the ps3...

the first thing that came to his mind was.. "fine.. RE5 looks awkward with ps3 wand.. but what about natal? it definitely would be even more awkward playing RE5 with natal.. how would you play it.. standing up like in the promo videos?"

so being pressured to be the first poster to defend the ps3 by shifting the awkwardness to x360 natal.. he brain farted the statement "would you play RE5 standing up?"

p.s. that was all joking btw.. :P (don't hate me nike_air)

TWo of the biggest flaws that both the Natal and the PS3 Wand has is that they both relies on cameras, while the Wii-mote and Motion+ only need a sensor bar to pick up the pointer and motion control.

Until the other two are actually available to me, the Wiimote is the best. After that, who knows.

I think theres definite promise for all three. I'm far more interested in natal than the PS3 wand however, simply because so far, I can't see what the wand will achieve that the wiimote hasn't.

me having a mariokart icon doesn't mean i'am a sheep. it shows i may be a mario fanboy, and in the end, who isn't?;) his icon shows he's a ps3 fanboy.which is untolerable.

The Wii Motion+ looks like it can do everything the PS3 wand has shown so far(look at Wii Sports Resort) but the Wand you technically do much more than that. Natal is horrible... No controller = FAIL. It will be like playing iPhone games.

Were you around at E3? The Sony Wand concept build was extraordinarily accurate. The reason being it doesn't rely on accelerometers to detect motion and is running on much more powerful hardware.

Sorry sony, I'm not holding a cpntroller in one hand, and a wand in the other. Either make a nunchcuk attachmnt or forget about any real support.

By the way, is the want motion sensitive, or is just reading the light? What if i want to use the controller sideways for a racing game or a puzzle game?

Too early to tell. However, I find the nunchuck/wii remote combination one of the best control schemes ever. You literally forget about the controls while playing at times, and that to me is a sign of close to perfect control scheme.

Nintendo really nailed it IMO.

And people forget they tested a camera option similar to NATAL, but passed.

What do you have against accelerometers? What does the Sony Wand rely on, a camera?

While all of that is fine and dandy, accelerometers would be more accurate for games such as golf, tennis and baseball or any game where there is swordplay. Accelerometers are better able to detect slight changes in pitch and angle than a camera based system would be, making on screen actions more accurate. Remember, the Wii did that first, then released the Wii Motion Plus. Sony would need to do 1 of 2 things. Either add an accelerometer in the wand or add a second camera to better register 3D motions.

seems very awkward using ps3 wand without nunchuk while playing RE5

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgDV48JbYXw

Mystery_Writer

Using the DS3 with your left hand is basically a nunchuk, with an extra shoulder button, and d pad. It's not the prettiest way but that's the best way without forcing you to buy two wands or an extra attachment. That's just more money. Don't forget you still need a PSEye for all this..

As for the topic. If we are talking about impressive technology. I think it's Natal>Wand>Wiimote. If we are talking about application for gaming.. We have to wait and see...

Natal is: You don't need some sort of arbitrary barrier between you and the game like a controller; the kicker is that you can use something hand held if you wanted too. Its pretty accurate if you've seen the videos where some guy interrupted someone while playing and it knew which to continue to focus on. The input is also as fast as the controller is @ 66ms, it should be a lot faster upon launch.

I would say Sonys wand, before I saw the incredibly stupid DS3+Wand. WiiM+ wins for now. Natal is too different too compare, I think.
