I'd like to point out Super Mario Bros, specifically because it's one of the most highly playable games i've come across today given the age and graphics. It's not that I don't think later 2D games don't hold up, on the contrary, to me 2D games don't age as badly as 3D games in general.
But I wouldn't find all Nes games playable saying that, 8 bit gaming is still ok, provided the games are made well. I still have a soft spot for the OLD Sunsoft BATMAN game on the gameboy which was based off the movie, It was fantastic, even the the soundtrack to the game is probably my favourite of all GB games i've played.
FPS games don't age well with me, graphics and gameplay move on. Strangely I still like PD on XBLA and I think that CoD as far back as the 2nd (which i'm on now) is still amazing, so maybe standards have slowed. But I got Half Life Source a year ago or so and didn't enjoy it much.
This is the only correct answer.Age of Empires II is coming on 10 years old and it's still an amazing game.
Wartzay
Lots of Nintendo Games.
Though I think Yoshi's Island and Super Metroid Work as being Timeless Classics.
Any 2D platformer that was good 15 years ago is still good today. Majora's Mask is still extremely fun. SSB games.
Super Metroid is somehow amazing even today.

Super Mario Bros 3. I honestly think that 100 years from now people will still be talking about the greatness of that game.
