Trust me you wouldn't want Crysis as a direct port on consoles.

if it was a direct port and looked the same and played the same sre i would.

360/ps3 have usb ports, they could add mouse/keyboard support, problem solved.

or they could code in slight autoaim, problem solved.

I think Crysis will make it's way to consoles, with only a slight downgrade, look at Unreal tournement 3 on 360 to see what it can handle, amazing graphics.

UT3 & Crysis are not in the same league, UT3 is like Gears of War ... all flash , barely any physics, but looks damn good, however it is not even as technically achiveing as say Oblivion / SUPCOM ect.

Crysis will be alot more demanding than UT3 (In theory) Epic tends to go abit overboard with Extras.

either way...UT3 is a DX10 game....and even if it wasnt...it would look far better on the PC.

Why do I say this blasphemy? WEll first off I wouldn't want far cry on xbox in the original form...it would be impossible to kill those monsters with a controller and it was incredibly hard...consider it as the Ninja Gaiden of shooters. Also my PC at the time did a bad job at running far cry and it was a monster at the time.turgore

They were running GEOW I think...thats the game they used since it was the one furthest in development.

Seriously, though, my 7900GS runs the demos on the Nvidia website for the 6800 cards at 15fps. What's up with that?

Indeed, the AI is too frantic, and the huge open-endedness would just not be practicle on consoles. (FarCry 2004) Crysis is entirely PC-centric, the gameplay is designed hugely for PC. Trust me, I just beat the first three levels of FarCry today on easy settings, and it is way more complex than say Halo or Timesplitters.

That's the reason why they butchered it and gave you guys a spin-off. FarCry /= Doom or Half-Life or Unreal Tournament.
