Consoles dude. Plus Forza 4 and GT5 BOTH look more realistic than GRID. (Well except the 2D trees in GT5)
And Laguna Seca, and 800 of the cars... Actually, besides those, which are just given.. I've not played Grid, so I don't have personal experience, but every other newer Codemaster's game, F1 2010, Dirt2/3, they've all looked better than GT/Forza anyway, since they have their lovely dx11 pc versions. Forza nees a pc port!Except 800 cars in GT5 and a few of the recycled tracks. And I didn't say PC exclusive, I said port. And how would it be overkill? What about people who don't have a 360?Neither Dirt 2/3 has the insaneattention to detail given to the cars like in Forza 4 or GT5.
A Forza exclusive PC game would just be overkill.
CorbraMax
And the tracks Do look better in the Codemaster's games, than in GT5, even Nurburgring(the best looking gt5 track) is uglier.
F1 2010 does have extremely detailed cars and tracks, and the weather effects are unrivaled by any racing game, and my guess is that even F4 won´t be able to top Codies in that regard.Neither Dirt 2/3 has the insaneattention to detail given to the cars like in Forza 4 or GT5.

Weather effects and track detail overall goes to PGR4. That game is still unanswered in staggering environment detail. There is one track that features a mansion gated off in the background with a working fountain. lol Blink and you'll miss it.
yeah. somebody needs to come out with an adapter 'cause I'm not buying another wheel.[QUOTE="psn8214"]
Sexy. I wish MS would let these guys port Forza to PC, I'd love to use my G27 with this.
heretrix
True that. Only reason I've not had a vested interest in the Forza series is lack of proper third-party wheel support. GT5 is a much worse game in several aspects, but driving with the G27 is super smooth/addicting - you can't just go back to a controller.

I´ve played a lot of PGR4 back when it came out and as far as weather effects go,F1 2010 is on a whole other level. Not to mention that F1 2010 is using the Ego 1.5 engine(improved Grid engine)but F1 2011 will be using the Ego 2.0. ;)

You, my friend, need to play the DiRT and GRID series on PC. Would blow your mind.
Pff, I played Grid 60FPS 1080p 2 years ago.Blacklight2With a fraction of the CPU-crunching physics or AI.;)
Like is usual with Forza videos, they are not what the game will look like no matter how much fanboys hype them. And Forza still has to beat GT5 in the sim aspect of the game.kuraimen
I give that meltdown a 8/10

Did I forget to mention that these trees also sway in the wind? That is unheard of on a 60fps console racer.

Self owned by ignoring the fact Forza has the same trees. Self owned by not actually watching the video and realising Forza 4 has 3D trees :roll:Try actually having a basis for argument before posting.

Self owned by ignoring the fact Forza has the same trees.i'm guessing you haven't played either :? Go play Trial Mountain then come back and tell me they're the sameForza is IMO too sterile. The camera is "fixed", meaning no sway when you turn violently into corners, or spin out etc. The collisions are just plain bad. Novisceral effects when you crash at high speeds. Physics aren't what they could be either, even turning all aids "OFF" - you can clearly see from the telemetry that your car/wheels are constantly being corrected when e.g you're in a drift / about to spin. Poor damage modeling etc etc.
For the camera / sense of speed effects i would personally love something like what NFS Shift is doing, however - toned down a wee bit. The wheel shake etc in that game is silly :p
That's not to say Forza doesn't excell in many other things though. Their MP / community features have always been strong and will only get better in Forza4 i'm sure!
Could probably write up a whole lot more but it's back to iRacing now :P
Forza = Softcore "sim"
Bring Forza to PC!
Isn't gT5 supposed to be biggest flop of the century? Got delayed a billion time and still didn't deliver anthing other than an average racing experience. Ninja_OdinGT5 can't even be compared to Forza now. Forza is at a higher level. GT5 has been outscored by games like NFS HP and Dirt etc.... Way I see it GT5 is not even a worthy rival anymore unless we play the sales game. GT5 did have a good driving model, but the rest? Meh!

You can now turn off ALL Driving Aids in Forza 4 including the infamous Permanant Driving Aid. Buy a Xbox 360:twisted: lol

@ morapuler, Yes, or iracing needs to focus on graphics/sound/immersion. I'm sick of sims being bare bones!.@Cobra, no, I'm not buying, nor should anyone, a console for one game.
it looks good, but it doesnt blow me away, that could have something to do with the video being shot off screen, or that the player who is playing isnt that good, but forza seems to lack a sense of acceleration...and a sense of acceleration is such an important thing in a racing game
What? That's something GT5 lacks. FM has always had a great sense of speed :?it looks good, but it doesnt blow me away, that could have something to do with the video being shot off screen, or that the player who is playing isnt that good, but forza seems to lack a sense of acceleration...and a sense of acceleration is such an important thing in a racing game

Forza actually feels faster. (Mainly due to GT5 dropping more frames during races) There's actually a 60fps video of GT5 on that same site that you can compare.
