Hey people. I am currently an owner of a PS3 and have been a PS supporter for 10 years. While I enjoy it and find the quality of the console itself to be top notch. I've been considering trading it in for a 360. I checked out the latest NPD figures and quite honestly I'm not impresed. I fear PS3 will end up like Saturn or 3DO.

The Game lineup for PS3 doesn't hold my interest and the sequels don't interest me like they used too. Most of the PS3 games I want are on 360 now and will arrive soon.

Exclusives like Bioshock, Mass Effect and Alan Wake, among plenty of others look really impressive and I must "Finish the Fight". I don't need a game list or recommendation; I already know what 360 has in store.

I just want to know if the latest 360 units built after November with the COD3 bundle are quieter, and free of hardware issues?

Yes - they use a new drive in there + a software upgrade is comming wich will adjust the drive speed.

If you think you'll like the future games on the 360 more then the PS3 then I'd say trade that puppy in for a 360. Grab a warranty and you'll be fine.

I say you should trade in your PS3 for a 360, it has a ton of great game coming out for it this year. Then later in 2008, buy a PS3 again when you have more money and when it has more games that interest you.

Mine was made in June 06. No issues and the sound does not bother me.

Get the MS 2 year plan. If they still offer it. It's like $50. Then you will have a 3 year warranty.

let me get this right? you are basing your decision on sales? besides, something tells me you are lieing about owning a PS3, whats your PSN ID? but if you want to, you have my blessing, life's too short to stay with something you are not happy about.

Lieing? What, because I'm having a change of heart? Hey my PSN is: Ocelot 9 add me if you want.
Don't get me wrong, PS3 offers better value for what you pay and they have the upper hand in terms of first party titles. I grabbed my PS3 back on launch day with a copy of R:FoM. Sorry but it smokes Gears IMO. I guess I just look at what I'm itchin' to play and quite honestly I want Bioshock more then Halo or MGS4 put together, and I don't know if my aging PC will handle this gem. Almost all the other titles in that list have my interest.

I really can't or don't have to prove to you or anybody if I own a PS3 or not. My point simply is that the grass kinda looks greener on the other side for once, while I used to laugh at the 360 now I'm getting jealous. Sad but true!

Hey where'd you get your PSN gamer profile, that's killer?

Either November and later or December and later units have a new drive that is quiter then any of the other drives. And the freezing issues are worked out.

Why do people ever sell consoles? It makes no sense, just keep it and save up for the 360. Having them both is the only way to go this gen. The PS3 won't be great until 2008, but after that who knows? The 360 could trail off...

Exactly, it might sell 100 million consoles, but as of right now the Wii is exactly what Nintendo advertises it to be...a party machine...the single player experience is hardly there. I'm sorry, but I game on my own and online...I don't hold massive gaming parties where all my friends come over and we play games for hours and hours...sorry but no...

I agree, it won't be as good as the Playstation 2...but it won't be a 3D0

You should, it's a lot of fun. I await a more single-player centered experience from the Wii, it may come.
