Twilight Princess HD might be coming to Wii U?

Two days ago a fan found a shop icon for Twilight Princess hidden away on the Wii U eShop backend. But this could have just been a placeholder for a Wii Virtual Console launch - just an emulated port.

Now, the title "Twilight Princess HD" has been spotted sitting on Nintendo's eShop servers, adding further fuel to the fire.

Yay or nay?

Nay. Played it upon release and that was enough for me.

I don't think many people would want it.

I really like the tone the game sets, and it's best moments are pretty great, but it's just not a top tier Zelda

My least favorite Zelda BY far, but maybe this means that prices take a hit on both the GC and Wii versions (though I played both versions and only beat the GC version)?

That'd be great, I'd like to get the GC version someday. I got a Wii and that version at launch, played through the game 3 times during that gen, and sold it.

And the good news - Wii may be coming to PC. WiiU emulator is in the works and it already can load some comercial games. Hohohoho

I thought of that because when MPT got a Wii U eShop re-release, physical copies of MPT got a bit of a drop and scalpers took a hit. Not sure how it is now though.

Yay. Ive only played ocarina of time and wind waker. All within the last three yrs. I came to the series late, so im hoping they release the good ones on the wii u. Im upset they released majoras mask on the 3ds only.

Playing ocarina on my 3ds was uncomfortable so if they just release remakes on that platform, ill be skipping out on them.

Really? Should have gone with Skyward Sword. Much better game, & it would benefit greatly from a remaster.

@ladyblue: What? Skyward Sword was horrible and too much of a collect-a-thon as well as too many damn puzzles!

@nintendoboy16: It wasn't that bad, I'm biggest gripe were the boss fights were all too easy and too predictable. Also they padded the game with unneccesary collect-a-thon and the wolf mechanics were bad.

Nay, the GC version is all I need and my Wii U is for playing new games but not counting WW cause I got it for free last year.

this game would of benefited more from a remaster then windwaker. since windwaker still visually holds up.

But it already exists.

.... I'll admit I was sort of one of those scalpers. That was the one Wii game I hung onto when I sold everything else. I was hoping it would continue to increase in value, when I saw it was going on the eShop I put it up for sale. Someone offered me all the Resident Evil Games on GC for it and I took it.

Twilight Princess devalued my hype for all future Zelda titles. Clover studio made a much better Zelda (Okami) in the same exact year, and their previous work was hardly legendary.

If it was a real remaster then hell yes.

I want it. One of my favorite games and would love a remaster on Wii U.

I take a very dim view of yet more ports and spinoffs, when there's still no proper Zelda.

Meh only thing I'd want is The Legend of Midna HD and I sort of got that in Hyrule Warriors so no thanks.

I would much rather get an HD version of Skyward Sword. It's a much better game. Still, it would be nice if Nintendo would focus their efforts on the new Zelda game. As bad as it looks, it's been forever since Skyward Sword now, and I'd like to play something new.

I have it for the Wii, so I doubt I would get it.

Sweet, TP stands to gain the most from a remake because its visuals have aged like milk. Streamline the tutorials and wolf sections and I'll be there day one

TP is the one that needs the upgrade the most. Def yay. It's also the zelda I put the most time in before quitting as I often quit on zelda games.

If they give a Wii U Twilight princess the same treatment they did OoT 3D, MM3D, WW HD, then yeah I'd totally get a Twilight princess HD. Have always wanted to replay the game but haven't gotten around to it.

if it's just an emulation/port than meh, that's less exciting, but maybe I'd consider it still if it is actually cheaper and offers standard controls like the GC version did (I've only played the Wii version).

Hope not, Nintendo should focus on new games (hopefully other things than Mario...)

They're getting Zelda U, Nintendo has made that pretty clear already.

It pains me to see people dislike TP so much.

To me, it's the definitive Zelda title.

Make it for the Wii U and a launch title for the NX to go full circle.

For the first time, I agree. I felt that they also need to reduce the fecth'd collect-a-thon side missions.

@charizard1605: well, emulation, BC, whatever, if like the other Wii U digital releases of Wii titles that still need be played like Wii games, I still have the Wii disc to play so no bother on my end, good I guess for those who want to play it to have access, I personally wanted a port to play on game pad with game pad controls instead of motion controls, would pay for that if ever offered, I thought Nintendo is blowing opportunity not upgrading games like this, or Metroid trilogy, to work with pro controller or gamepad.

Nay ...found TP to be boring. Hopefully does not mean Zelda U is now a 2017 release. :P
