Ok, some of these glitches are cool and interesting but.....

I thought Nintendo was ironing out all the kinks in this game with the extra year of development.

Is there a glitchier Nintendo-made game than this?

I haven't encountered any glitches in my playthough of the game. Most of them are glitches you have to search for...which would increase replay value I guess... How many people joined 'Glitches Only' games in Halo 2?

Play Super Metroid. Those glitches enhance the gameplay. I would watch these ones, but seeing as how I am in the middle of playing the game, I will just take your word for it. Speed running FTW!

Hmmm I have over 90 hours invested into the game and have not had a single glitch.  This thread fails.

Actually the TP delay wasn't because they wanted extra time to recheck the game. They simply wanted it to came out at the same time as the Wii version. Actually Zelda TP could've come in middle 2005 without any trouble. Nintendo delayed it so it can come out first on the Wii (marketing) which is kind of normal, juste like Microsoft did with HAlo 2, they waited for vista and now are putting halo 2 on pc. Halo 2 could've come on XP years ago.

Completely forgot about Super Metroid!  That game was amazing but a total glitch-fest as well.

Twilight Princess, one of the best Zelda games i've ever played. Who cares if there are glitches, big whoopin deal. If you're stupid and you want to exploit them and cheat on the game, go ahead. Most games of some sort of glitch, and there will always be people to exploit them, so what? I loved the game.

In games as big and vast as Zelda, Oblivion or KOTOR, you're bound to have at least a few missed glitches, that's just the one of the many problems huge games like that have. If they don't ruin the overall gameplay experience and are rare and minor, then it's forgivable.

Anyway, I actually never ran into any glitches while playing Zelda so I'm sure most gamers won't either unless they're actively trying to find them.

Well, I know they had to port it to Wii and whatnot, but the porting process most likely meant many more play-thrus with beta testers than other Zeldas.  With all the "testing" the game had to undergo, you would think that Nintendo would have ironed out many of these glitches.  There is a glitch that will make you have to start over if you save in a particular area at a particular moment.  That is pretty bad for such a big game.

kinda a SPOILER ALERT

Also, there is a glitch in Lakebed Temple where you can simply sidejump to a platform and activate a switch that you are not supposed to get to yet.

Some of these glitches seem easy to find and exploit.

The extra year was to port TP to Wii before launch.

everyone loves glitches that dont impede on a normal play through the game. theyre like accidental easter eggs. you cant tell me you havent gone back to play a game and test out some obscure glitch when someone found it, just to see it yourself ;)

with these glitches. you won't just happen upon them. you've got to be looking for them and trying to make them happen. most of the kids who find these are having a good time with the game. and i think they're fun to look at. the only glitch they really needed to address was the sky cannon glitch.

But Nintendo seems to have no intention of addressing it when they could release a patch on the web for download.  Nintendo seems to have a tough time admitting that some of their games have "errors" in them that need reconciliation.  And the sky cannon glitch was a HUGE game breaking "not fun in any way" type glitch.

Just because you haven't experienced a glitch doesn't mean that others haven't also.

Geez...it's just a glitch. No need to destroy Nintendo for it...It was a random glitch that sucked if it happend to you. The testers probly all never saved and quit at that particular point.

What the hell are you talking about, don't you remember the MissingNo glitch from Pokemon? I don't think anyone complained about that, people were sad to see it gone in later sequels.

I LOVE glitches, they rock! Go look up some Metroid Prime glitches, you can get later items way early in the game. That's the only way it's possible to beat the game in under 2 hours. Some Halo glitches are cool too, just as long as people can't cheat.

I'm impressed! Call it 'glitchy' if you must, but sequence breaking is awesome and adds a lot of depth to the game.
Just check out sites like www.metroid2002.com to see what I mean.

I have a better place where you can witness the true masters of the game in motion. http://speeddemosarchive.com/SuperMetroid.html

My best SM time is 0:52... I really need to work on getting sub-0:50 any% and a sub-2:00 100% run. I am saving my 100% run and NBMB run for the VC on the Wii. :P

I haven't encountered any actual "glitches" at all since I've been playing. Those are all glitches that you have to actually go look for.

Dude, loads of games have loads of glitches. The reason there are so many TP glitch videos is because an enthusiast has been playing it over and over and purposely uploading videos to 'document' them.
