ubisoft dumps the DRM off brotherhood.. pc only (made official)

last week we heard and saw a lack of DRm info on the brotherhood website or steam page.. suggesting the ubi-drm was non-existant

well ubisoft has confirmed this.. pc's will be free of the always-on ubi-drm from hades..

It was REALLY meant to be played on a PC with DX11, AA, AF, 1080p 60+ fps and a controller :)

You run AC II on PC and the pop-ins are noticeable. it looks bland and washed out, and the controls suck.

great enws actually.. you see pirates have two reasons for piracy.. drm justice and cheepskatism..

this effectively ends the former.. leaving jsut the latter.

crysis 2 was leaked via piracy for cheapskatism and its barely at 30k copies pirated.. thats a rounding error in some companies

Why exactly? A few PC/non-PC gamers were peeved with the usage of "always-on" DRM in AC2. Ubi are reverting to a softer form of DRM (one-time signing), which will be a benefit to a lot of people. Furthermore, it's offered through Steam, which will help as well.

SOOOOO it has no ubi drm and its 50 bucks and it used dx10/dx11 unlke ac2? I guess the low sales of yet uncrackable hawx 2 made them realize that its their games and not piracy. This is an epic day for pc gaming, ubisoft realized they cant mess with us with 60 bucks and super dupper drm crap and cheap ports. I hope this time around they fix the damn draw distance.dakan45

Meh, only a few months, and wasn't exactly a killer AAA title.

but, Enjoy most multiplats being the worst on 360 :)

I think someone at Ubi was like "guys, let's put this stuff we're smoking down and actually make some mad cash now."

Hawx 2 was never cracked due to the game itself on PC was unplayable due to DRM and just being a bad port

it was honestly unplayable, DX11 wont work for most people, you have to port foward to even play single player
