Ubi has a real close relationship with pc gamers so I'm sure they will flock to this in droves. /sarcasm

Yeah competition is nice most the time but i am one of those that hate to remember accounts for everything i want do on PC. Things like this make me lean to consoles even more. Yeah sure i can type in the account/password once and not have to do it more but still...it just not feels good :?

These publishers don't get it. Steam isn't only a store to buy games, but it's an entire community hub that rivals Xbox LIVE and PSN (and is better in most ways). People aren't going to simply buy games from multiple digital marketplaces. Steam is THE community hub for buying games and interacting with people. The sooner these publishers realize that, the better. Such is the negative of an open platform though, people think they can all get an equal slice of the pie with their own inferior services.

I took it, and I threw it on the ground

This is just ridiculous. I get why they are doing it but it's just redundant for me as a consumer. I can't be arsed to buy any game outside of Steam for PC. I love TM and I would like to buy TM 2 one day but I just don't care, am I a Steam fanboy??

Yeah,I knew it Ubisoft will go for it,but good luck to them ;)

Steam is popular for years,EA played their cards well by making Origin mandatory for BF3,a very hyped release, but Ubisoft has nothing,no reason at all to draw any signifficant number of PC gamers...

They're also hated for their DRM schemes. It'll fail as miserably as all of their AO-DRM games.

I'll accept it as long as I don't have to run the games through a client.

I see,but they're releasing the thing now, while Watch Dogs won't come before the next year, right?

Their timing is off...

Doesn't really matter, when Watch Dogs is released and it happens to only be on Uplay... I know I'll buy it on Uplay if I really have to. It looks amazing. lol

I will use it if it's cheaper than Steam and Amazon. I don't get the loyalty to Steam, even when it means higher prices and subpar service.

We already have competition on the sales, we don't need more clients. Steam, GoG, GMG, the website formally known as D2D, ect.

Yeah...

Getting tired of these clients crap, there's enough solid competition around...

Good thing is,besides Steam,I don't see a reason to use any.For example,I have no interest in any EA games atm,so no Origin.

As for this Ubisoft thing,I just don't see it taking off,and reaching any notable levels of popularity.

If they stop using Steam they won't be getting any more of my business. I am not interested in having a dozen different clients running at all times whenever I want to play my games.

Uplay was great when it was an achievement system. I'm not sure how Ubi will pull this off especially with their reputation on making PC gamers extremely disappointed.

Meh will do as I always do, buy the game for cheap, then download it so I don't need to deal with DRM and annoying clients like Origin, and sometimes Steam.

Stuff like this is kind of a double edged sword for me. I generally want competition and like that I don't have just one choice in where I get my games from but at the same time, it gets annoying with multiple logins and clients running.
