Eh I got problems but DRM isn't one of them *on the consoles*
Id rather stand behind ubisoft with their drm then see nothing done to curb rampent pandemic level piracy on the pc. With DRM? Without DRM? its still gonna get pirated but that doesn't mean one shouldn't try something.
Just like how From Dust wasn't online only? Once a company directly lies to its customers I will never trust them again.

they all lie, theres no point in ever trusting big corporations they all employ the same tactics except in a diffrent fashion.

Im not against all DRM either, but the thing is that companies that try to force DRM on their consumers dont seem to learn from their mistakes. The Ubi drm has been shown as a complete, and I mean complete failure in the past. Instead of taking it and improving the method they do nothing and act surprised when people complain.

the only people ubisoft are hurting are the people who buy it legally. drm does absolutely nothing to hinder piracy on the pc.
But that's the thing. The pirates don't have to worry about DRM. Their sources have already stripped it. The only people who are affected are legitimate consumers.Eh I got problems but DRM isn't one of them *on the consoles*

pirates would crack it day one, Skidrow will laugh and say "ha, this again, oh ill just apply this and upload it here etc etc"
it only hurts the consumers
Why can't Ubisoft be like all the other normal developers? GeneralShowzer
For some reason it's like they want CoD sales out of the PC.
Giving Ubisoft the same amount of money (and paying more) for your second choice version is a pretty poorly thought out form of protest. I'll probably postpone my purchase until the price goes down.Thx good reminder, i will not buy a PC Ubisoft game again. If i want any game from them it going to be console version...

Well, it is worth that little extra money to play a version that let you play the game without trouble. I can live with little worse graphic, many games is not that big difference anyway...
Just don't buy Ubisoft games.
I've added them to the list (Capcom, Ubisoft, Activision, Square Enix)
I like Arkham Asylum's DRM, at least it was funny. I think Ubisoft need to realise that no matter what DRM they use, it is going to be cracked by someone. The intrusive DRM only serves to annoy paying customers (which is bad, in case Ubisoft (and others) don't realise).
Unfortunately the business men making these decisions are just out of touch.I like Arkham Asylum's DRM, at least it was funny. When will publishers learn that the best way to combat piracy is to reward the paying customer, not punish them.
I wouldn't say perfect, but it would be more appealing. As is I've just about sworn off PCs because of all the DRM crud.Ubisoft is PC hater, they just delay each and every of their games on the PC.
If this DRM and other antics are not being used by Ubisoft and other publishers, PC gaming would be perfect.

You can say that as well. Ubi's DRM is even worse than those Online Pass EA have been using lately...

When will Ubisoft and othersrealize that if do your best to cater games to PC gamers then you'll see better sales in return. All this heavy DRM and crap won't stop piracy since a pirate could get past it in a day or two. In return this heavy DRM solutions do nothing but piss off legit customers and on top of that if your going to delay the game for PC at least use the time to make things that wrong with it better cause we'll feel like were second class citizens being fed left overs of an unoptimized and crappy console port a recent example is From Dust great game on paper but because of all that other garbage most of us won't go near that or any other game. If Ubisoft decides to go console exclusive with all their games I wouldn't give a single %@##@.

Hah if you going on you soon cant play any game...cant believe you boycott games from Capcom and Activision :o
I don't necessarily play no games at all from those companies. But I do avoid them if possible. It's not an iron law, just a guidance for myself. I rather spend money on developers that I really like, so their games get priority. When I'm short on money or when I see other interesting games than those of the evil companies, then I skip on the evil games. And you'd be surprised how little you'd miss their games. There are so many really good games coming out made by people who I like. Just this month, I bought like 4 games. Don't worry I won't starve from lack of games :PPlease Log In to post.
