Ubisoft: Net Bookings by Platform (spoiler Sony takes it:)

Ubi has announced its financial reports. I think what we System Warriors should pay attention to is not how many re-skinned AssCreed were sold, but the ratio of net bookings for each platform.

This is the result:

PlayStation: 33% PC: 23% Xbox: 21% Switch: 11% Mobile: 8% Others: 4%

This means that PlayStation users are the most active supporters of their games, which is Sony's another win as a platformer. Any thoughts or excuses?

This actually shows the average PS gamer buys less Ubisoft content than the average Xbox gamer.

Cows like buying reskinned, rehashed games.

That shows the average PS gamer has better taste than the average Xbox gamer.

@NathanDrakeSwag: it's already known that the average PS gamers spend less money than Xbox gamers on games, and also on average spend less time playing games on their console (with all those supposed awesome games), this data would just be another indicator of this very idea

I am certainly not in those 33%. I could only imagine how bad i'd feel for my ps5 if i were to instal an ubisoft game on it.

I think its interesting nintendo has a decent share even though ubisoft don't bring many games there. Seems like Just Dance remains a very popular entry there. Though I do wonder why people buy editions each year when they literally could just sub to Just Dance Unlimited and gain access to all songs.

Yeah, also another cloud service Amazon Luna got their games such as AC: Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Immortals Fenyx Rising, so the revenue from it also should be included in the 4%.

I guess that looks all pretty straightforward. Factor in the number of users per platform followed by how many games they put on each platform and this is what you get.

@lamprey263: you can play Just Dance on anything really. If you found cheaper options on other consoles/pc/mobile/tv you can still play the game with phone gyro to track your movements. Its a great family social game.

It's no wonder Sony's revenue is the highest, after all cows love their yearly reskinned Ass Creed/Far Cry from Ubisoft as well as Sony themselves.

Well, criticizing the users' taste does not change the fact that PlayStation remains the most important platform for one of the largest publishers such as Ubi. Key to the platform is third-party support backed by user numbers and spending, not taste, and Sony's success is undeniable in this regard.

Oooof, that’s some wicked self-ownage right there. The fact that Xbox sales are even remotely close with less than half the consoles out there....Xbox gamers are doing alright by Ubisoft.

So in summary the PS4 more than double outsold the Xbox One and Ubisoft sales are 12% higher on that platform
