That´s not very impressive considering the major market for the PC is digital, the fact that it´s so strong retail only is quite impressive whe pitted against systems where retail is by far the main distribution channel. As predicted, 360 numbers destroying everything, even PC

Serves Nintendo right for trying to sell an underpowered console twice. Nintendo should go back to the drawing board and either release a proper next gen console or give up the console race completely.
THey are so far behind in the scope of what we're expecting out of a "next-gen" console, Im honestly thinking we have a better chance of seeing the latter. What they released as their next gen online infrastructure is baffling to me... did they just choose not to do it right or do they not know how?Serves Nintendo right for trying to sell an underpowered console twice. PS4/Xbox One aren't what I would call 'proper' next gen consoles either. They're not powerful, and they are even more similar to PC's now. I bet there is a huge group of people who are looking to buy a console no matter what, so they may not be affected much in terms of sales, but rationally I wouldn't expect the Xbox One or PS4 to do well.Serves Nintendo right for trying to sell an underpowered console twice. They ain't going to cut out the Wii U's lifecycle early. That's asking for CD/32X failure because by then, XBONE and PS4 will be established and no one will give a crap about the Nintendo console that came after the Wii U in the SAME DAMN GEN!Serves Nintendo right for trying to sell an underpowered console twice. No reason to defend it. When the first party titles start rolling out, sales will increase.
The numbers will be closer to N64/Gamecube-Levels than Wii-Levels. History have already showed us the type of performance Nintendo is capable of when they lack third party support. The moment the PS3/360 are phased out, they're really going to screwed because they won't have the third party games to port like when the PS2 went out of the production for the Wii.

Has nothing to do with the Wii U's power. It has everything to do with the fact that Wii U has no games coming out. Not even Nintendo is bothering too much putting out games and they are typically the driving sales force for their own consoles. Hell, I bought the Wii U knowing full well it would likely be a "nintendo games only" console. But I'm not even getting that.
I have a Wii U and think it is a great piece of hardware, but hardware is meaningless if there aren't any games to play on it. Honestly, I'm surprised game sales were this high. What were people buying?
HOLY CRAP... thats... thats just sad. I have a Wii U... it doesnt get used much. I bought it day one, because I could, I know the games I want will come... In the meantime I have my PC, PS3, 360, 3DS & will have a PS4 soon. So don't feel bad for me. ALSO... STEAM SALE, WOOT! Sorry, off topic I know.
PS. ZombiU is a cool game, f_ck the haters.

They'll still get the third party titles, even after PS3/360 are phased out. Especially after the first party titles start rolling out and sales increase. It will be N64/GC levels, I'm guessing they sell between 30 and 40 million worldwide. But the GC and N64 still produced fantastic games and with the Wii U still making money on every Console sold (provided at least one game is sold with the Console), Nintendo is still in good shape. If they learn from this generation then they can fix it for after the Wii U/Xbox One/PS4 generation.
Nah bro, its called innovation!Serves Nintendo right for trying to sell an underpowered console twice. Nintendo should go back to the drawing board and either release a proper next gen console or give up the console race completely.

Agreed. If you're a fan of Zombie games and love any kind of true survival horror, ZombiU is fantastic.
