Gamers on this board are NOT who Google is trying to target. It's these people. People who are new to gaming. People who don't own a console or a high-end PC.

Looks blurry, I have no idea how it is to play, or what internet connection you must have to get an acceptable experience. Pretty sure input delay is present no matter what connection you have though.

The first video you called "blurry" was in 1080p by the way. The game runs at 1080p/60 or 4K/30.

I watched about 7 of the 15 minutes. I'm not here just to shit on Stadia, I would prefer if Stadia was good. But all I've seen from it is shit, and then you give me stuff that also looks shit, but tells me it's great.

You asked me to find a 1080p vid on YT that looks better, which I did within 3 minutes. I literally took the first 1080p video of CP2077 that I found.

Every setup has latency, even yours. Zero latency is impossible.

Stadia is very efficient on data. It's more about quality and consistency. I've been able to play Stadia fine on even a public wifi connection.

Latency isn't caused by lack of bandwidth per se, it's your ping to the server and any excessive packet loss or jitter would cause issues. The speed of electrical pulse thru coaxial cable is about 80% the speed of light. For a data packet to travel from Portland to Los Angeles would take roughly 5ms assuming there are no switches it has to go through. Most of the latency you experience actually happens in the last mile where the data goes through multiple switches and then to your router/modem in your home.

I've played Stadia with a friend (yes TWO instances) at a local Starbucks and it was fine.

Most stable connections would be fine, as long as you are within 500 miles of a data center (it's very hard to be outside of that range in the US since Google is practically spamming data centers everywhere).

Stadia will eventually become an edge computing service rather than just a cloud computing service.

Also, 2.4GHz Wifi performs poorly. Direct wire or 5GHz ac/ax is optimal.

I can imagine Google Stadia being REALLY good if you have a good connection. However I (unfortuantely) don't live in a city, although I really want to, and my internet is pretty subpar. So Stadia would not work well for me.

Did google hire you to remind people on forums that this thing still exists?

Yes, I live in a city. Yeah unfortunately Stadia really doesn't work well in rural areas.

Yep, those are inline with my own results. 70-100ms is about what I get. Keep in mind that this is lower than the typical latency that you'd get with a console.

So not only is the actual input lag is guaranteed to be larger with a more reasonable connection, but clarity is another massive problem.
