And now the comment section is discovering how amazing it truly is.

Exposure like this is what is going to boost the platform into the mainstream.

Gamers on this board are NOT who Google is trying to target. It's these people. People who are new to gaming. People who don't own a console or a high-end PC.

That's cool and all, but Stadia truly really fucking sucks. Good try, though. You get paid by Google a lot?

You've obviously never used it then.

Does this look shitty to you?

Well, this is the quality you get for free.

Looks blurry, I have no idea how it is to play, or what internet connection you must have to get an acceptable experience. Pretty sure input delay is present no matter what connection you have though.

Do you have anything to show that doesn't make Stadia look complete shit?

You didn't even watch it did you?

Here's some 4K gameplay.

The first video you called "blurry" was in 1080p by the way. The game runs at 1080p/60 or 4K/30.

I watched about 7 of the 15 minutes. I'm not here just to shit on Stadia, I would prefer if Stadia was good. But all I've seen from it is shit, and then you give me stuff that also looks shit, but tells me it's great.

It looks blurry. That doesn't look blurry to you?

It's 1080p. Yes, it's blurry for 4K or 1440p because it's 1080p. Show me better looking 1080p gameplay on YouTube.

Again, we are talking about a service that s completely free to use. You just pay for the games. No other platform offers this value.

Looks much sharper than the Stadia vid.

Hah. I'm not arguing that Stadia is better than a high-end PC. Is that a joke?

RX5700 XT: $450

Stadia: $0

And as for input latency, I get less system latency than a console + TV setup.

Don’t care if hundreds of millions of people praise it and if it runs flawlessly, streaming is still going to be my absolute last option to play games.

Well, neither am I. I'm just arguing that Stadia is shit, the games look blurry and you have input lag. And you're showing me a blurry video, telling me it looks great.

You asked me to find a 1080p vid on YT that looks better, which I did within 3 minutes. I literally took the first 1080p video of CP2077 that I found.

And as for your comment about the latency you get, forgive me for not taking your word for it, but you've been promoting Stadia quite a bit. You really don't come across as honest.

If you don't believe me, believe Digital Foundry's analysis. Or this video testing the input latency with a high-speed camera.

So he got good latency. Don't have time right now to watch the whole video, but I bet you know, so.. How fast an internet connection do I need to play blurry Stadia games without any latency?

Every setup has latency, even yours. Zero latency is impossible.

Stadia is very efficient on data. It's more about quality and consistency. I've been able to play Stadia fine on even a public wifi connection.

Yeah, and water is wet. Should've said "any noticable latency" I guess, my bad.

But since you didn't really answer my question, I have to ask. With that picture, are you saying that as long as you have 10mbit/s connection or more, latency isn't a problem? That's pretty awesome, I must say, but I think that's bullshit.

But say it was true, then we still have the problem of the games being blurry.

Some guy i've never heard of but has 17 million followers/stalkers or whatever the **** you call them likes Stadia.

There's just 1 question one has to ask and that is, how much did Google pay him? because these people don't shill for free.

Oh and OP i never seem to read your username right (probably because i don't care lol) so i'm going to call you Rikishi :)

Latency isn't caused by lack of bandwidth per se, it's your ping to the server and any excessive packet loss or jitter would cause issues. The speed of electrical pulse thru coaxial cable is about 80% the speed of light. For a data packet to travel from Portland to Los Angeles would take roughly 5ms assuming there are no switches it has to go through. Most of the latency you experience actually happens in the last mile where the data goes through multiple switches and then to your router/modem in your home.

I've played Stadia with a friend (yes TWO instances) at a local Starbucks and it was fine.

@Rikusaki: So..

"Who knows if you get latency or not", basically?
And "Stadia worked fine for me at Starbucks two times".

Kay. Great promoting. Bet Google would be proud of you. I'll stick with not using Stadia, thanks though.

Most stable connections would be fine, as long as you are within 500 miles of a data center (it's very hard to be outside of that range in the US since Google is practically spamming data centers everywhere).

Stadia will eventually become an edge computing service rather than just a cloud computing service.

Also, 2.4GHz Wifi performs poorly. Direct wire or 5GHz ac/ax is optimal.

Do you (Rikusaki) live in a city by any chance?

I can imagine Google Stadia being REALLY good if you have a good connection. However I (unfortuantely) don't live in a city, although I really want to, and my internet is pretty subpar. So Stadia would not work well for me.

Its not even good if you're in a city. That thing barely has any games for it. They're so desperate they've paid 10mil to have RE8 on their system 🤣

The system is so bad that google needs to beg, pay or both to have something coming to it, and even then, barely anything is even available on it.

If anybody is interested of learning how input lag feels, i would highly suggest you to get Stadia. It will be a great lesson.

Yep, those are inline with my own results. 70-100ms is about what I get. Keep in mind that this is lower than the typical latency that you'd get with a console.

That's atrocious. Nobody will ever take this service seriously when the imput lag is this massive. And this was with a fiber connection. How many people have fiber? So not only is the actual input lag is guaranteed to be larger with a more reasonable connection, but clarity is another massive problem.

This service needed more time in the oven than CP2077 🤣

Are we ignoring the fact that consoles have the same (or worse) input latency?

The only thing that has more latency is OnLive 🤣

What is more amazing, Stadia doesn't have a search feature. I am not kidding, you have to browse to find a game.

@Rikusaki: We know google pays you to shill their crappy product, but is it also in your contract to lie your ass off while doing so?

Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay on Google Stadia

Might as well get the console version lol.

Seriously if I'm going to pay out the ass for the internet connection this would require, just for some subpar image quality, why not just get a good pc and leave it at that.

Input lag on stadia makes it worthless.

I give it 1-2 years before google cancels this as well.

I'm sure the internet connection you are using right now to send that would suffice. Come on now.

That's cool and all, but Stadia truly really fucking sucks. Good try, though. You get paid by Google a lot?

You've obviously never used it then.

Creepy😬
