Uncharted 2 gets too much love.

It's getting so boring, I mean it's not that great of a game. The story was so bland, although the characters were really cool, there was hardly any Sully, and the graphics are definetly not as good as some other games on the next gen systems like Assassins Creed 2 and Final Fantasy 13.

I just don't get why this game gets so much love ! It's just a ordinary TPS, and there are far better TPS games out there e.g. GTA4, Mass Effect, Gears of War...

i like the story and the graphics.. i think the gameplay could've been more diverse,

but it's well worth it imo

Call of Duty 4 got me into hardcore gaming, but Pokemon Blue was my first ever game and I played that soo much ( probably over 10000 hours :P )

Why did MGS4 get a 10/10, the in game graphic were not that amazing, they were subHD even and the gameplay was very linear and mainly shooting

So, hype and user base is your answer, Gamespot does not want to dissapoint millions and destroy their hype, same goesfor most overhyped games (Halo, Gears, Mass Effect, Killzone, Uncharted, LBPetc)

Ive had uncharted 2 at my house for what seems like forever but I just dont feel like playing it. I have nothing against the series loved the first, I dont know why but whenever I feel like starting a game I always choose something else like recently Castlevania and fallout new vegas.

The only things I didnt really like about it where..

- The enemies took way too many bullets to kill and got super annoying at parts when they would just charge at you and you would shoot them a thousand times and they wouldnt die only to kill you in one or two hits.

- The humor was too forced.. It just didnt feel natural like it did in the first game, they just tried too hard to be funny in some spots

- And the multiplayer map design should have catered more towards uncharteds unique style of gameplay. The maps felt like they could have been in any other shooter.. Just kinda on a flat plane and not too much originality.. with all the crazy stunts your characters can do they should have made the map design much more verticle with ledges and clifs and vines to climb and multiple layered buildings that you can transverse.. that would have been completely awesome.

But other than that I think its an incredible game.. Im very picky and those are really my only complaints so I think thats quite an accomplishment seeing as how preference based my complaints are anyhow

I look at it this way. The game is of overall high quality. Great script, well made SP, balanced and pretty well made multiplayer.

I may not love the game but I recognize its quality. Its a pretty incredible game.

I think TC is the type of person that likes to hate on things just because other people loves them. Honestly? Uncharted 2 graphics are still unrivaled by anything on the X360.

Bungie, Infinity Ward, Molyneux and every other of your favorite devs has praised the graphics and story telling of Uncharted. Specially Molyneux... I mean, what other game this gen is even comparable to Uncharted 2 anyway? Even the multiplayer is unique and the poor game hasn't even sold 4m copies.

Same could be said about a lot of high rated talked about games here. Not everyone is going to like every high rated game you dont think uncharted 2 is the best well I think Galaxy 2 is pretty mediocre, doesnt make them overrated.

Well.. compared to what really?.,, Can you name any 8.5 action game that has a really fun singleplayer.. with a good story really likeable characters.. amazing specticals and set pieces at every turn..awesome soundtrack AND ..a really good multiplayer with tons of modes, maps, a replay theater, etc. and so on. No AA game did or does as much and as well as uncharted 2 did.

Then you haven't played a Tomb Rider game in your life. Now comes GeoW? GeoW is a tank compared to the agility you have in a game like Uncharted 2 where you can climb and even shoot while hanging from the edges. This is what makes the multiplayer so special too,it has lots of versatility. And let's not even talk about story telling, plot, animations, setting, graphics, voice acting or characterization because there's nothing like this on consoles. PC? I don't know, I'm no PC gamer.

You seem to have some serious issues with people criticizing Uncharted. How is it not like Tomb Raider? You can't say "then you haven't played a tomb raider game in your life" and not elaborate on it.

No. Because then you would pretty much have to call every single game out there a rip-off from another game.

Just because it uses elements from Tomb Raider and plays like it (obviously it's a adventure/platformer so of course it's going to play like it) doesn't mean it's a rip-off.

I think you might have made a typo there. GeoW is a TPS not an FPS.

Not a typo, but I may not have been clear. GeoW is a TPS,but plays like an FPS, and just like any other FPS at that.

Your first link is from some website I've never even heard of (spong.com) and your second link actually goes against what you're trying to prove.

A professional website calls the game a rip-off, and then the developer admits the games are similar.

I swear SW has a weekly "I don't like Uncharted 2 that much" thread. The game is one year old, complain about something more current you think is overrated people :?. There's also a shiny blog button in your profile.

Anyway, it got all the love it deserves. It's the best game on the PS3, imo.
