Just to clear things up, there is a thread on the front page that says "ME2 has the record for industry awards" surpassing Uncharted 2. The problem with that thread? TC posted a link touting ME2's 150 awards......yet posted no link whatsoever for his Uncharted 2 numbers, and saying Uncharted 2 only got "about 120 awards" (a completely made up number he pulled from the top of his head) good thing I have a keen memory isn't it? ;) This thread is created to make system wars aware of the falsehood that is taking place in that thread. It's a lot longer than 8 hours, and who cares if IGN makes an article explaining why ME2 is better? The games aren't even similar :?

It was very good, until the final boss fight. That fight was just plain lousy.

Multiplayer is definitely not average...Seriously what makes any game any better. Uncharted 2 offers Team Deathmatch, Plunder (Capture the Flag), Turf War, Elimination, King of the Hill, 3 Co-Op modes and a Co-Op based off of objectives in the Story, it Even has the Lab, which is random game modes like Sniper Plunder, Shotguns Only, 2 v 2 Team Deathmatch, etc. You can unlock new Perks, Character Skins, Co-Op Weapon Upgrades, etc. That's pretty damn good.

And the single player is so good, Everybody I know who played it loved it and has played through it multiple times.

I still wouldn't say it's better than ME2, but it's definitely not average, and people need to stop saying that, when it's an amazing game.

Interesting, now we'll get to see them throwdown this year. I think that kind of indicates a more valid consensus as an industry, either that or some games just are head and shoulders better than all others (which is also true).

and rightfully so. personally im not a fan of bioware games. i have kotor and me1. both bore me to death! and i so happen to own the pc version for both. well me1 was cool for like 2-3 hours, then i just got bored with it. you can beat the whole game w/o using any power ups. it seems like they were just tacked on for the "cool" factor. ugghhh

I like ME2 more but Uncharted 2deserves everything it gets too! Yeah, true-to-heart gamers don't really care about what wins what. I get to enjoy two of the best games this gen. That's all that really matters.

Now, stop feeling the need to try to bring a game down because you don't like it as much as others. It's pointless, it's a waste of time, and it won't change anything.

A: Those awards don't mean a lot
B: Mass Effect 2 could be given awards from everyone on the face of the planet, and I'd still find Uncharted 2 to be more entertaining.

I haven't played Uncharted 2 since I don't own a PS3. However, I can only hope that it is a more worthy Game of the Year than Mass Effect 2. That game is undeserving to be called the best of the year. I can't speak for Uncharted 2, but I made my stance clear to the TC of the other topic as well. I feel no need to iterate the same point yet again.

I thought Uncharted 2 was great but it was way too scripted and very linear.

Why did it take everyone so long to beat Uncharted 2?

I beat it in a little over 7 hours

Anyways love Uncharted and Mass Effect so its a win for me when both these games come out this year.
