Uncharted 3 Beta is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT on Uncharted 2

I got this off the HK psn store. Overall it's ALOT better than I thought it would be.

GOOD

-Damage is good. Recoil is good. The all around shooting feels much better than it did in U2.

-Power Plays, Kick Backs, and Boosters are well balanced. I thought Power plays would be an issue but they are not.

-Menu is slick. Customization is nice. Cant wait to unlock more. This is perfect for a Third person game. You really get to create your own character.

-Sniper rifle feels perfect. Not too overpowered, but not useless either. Good from long range, but not close range.

-Audio is nice. The music and gun sounds are better than U2.

-No grenade pick ups means you cant abuse them like in U2. Very nicely done. Youre not getting suicide bombed all the time now.

-Cinematic melee is sweet. I like it.

-Find matches quicker now. Loading in general is much quicker than in U2.

-Uncharted TV is a great idea.

-Finding treasures during Team Deathmatch makes people move around more and camp less.

BAD

-Turning feels awkward. Not as smooth as U2.

-Maps have dark spots where its hard to see. The maps both feel kind of big and harder to find people. I hope the final game has smaller maps like Village and Plaza, but then again I seem to like small maps in every game.

-Harder to do pull downs now??? Or maybe im just doing something wrong.




OVERALL

Better than I thought it would be. Gonna go play some more. Naughty Dog and Sony have a huge hit on there hands with this one.

What does that have to with making guns sound satisfying to fire? Even Half Life acomplished this back in 1998.

Oh satisfying, thought you meant realism - back in 2004 getting realistic sounding guns wasn't easy in a game

Do you have more health? I couldn't stand UC2 after update 1.05.

The aiming is incredibly slow, and I don't know why. It was much better in U2. I only got to play one match though before my system locked up, presumably because the Beta got overloaded and ND's games like to lock up your system when they wig out.

Hell yea, downloading it right now, play it when im off work........from what it sounds it going to be the GO-TO online game for the ps3 Blah take that call of booty.

But why doesnt sony allow you to download this beforehand, so you dont have to rush on the date it starts only to wait 2 hours before you get a chance to play??

After playing through, I'll say my only annoyance is the health. Some of these guys take whole magazines to kill.
