Its difficult to say for U3 as its coming off of U2. U2 was such a good game that they may feel to top it they will have to add a lot or change something up and because of how well U2 turned out they won't know exactly where to improve on the game which could prove to be bad. Gears of War 1 had such great reviews but they overcompensated for Gears 2 and it turned out to be not as impressive as the first. Uncharted 1 got less than stellar ratings so they were able to improve on a lot of areas. I'm not saying the game will be bad, no doubt it will get great reviews but all time highest rated game? Probably not.

all that matters is gamespot so I recommend when the hype threads come to vote it an AAA at most.

Who knows? We have barely seen anything though to make any judgement.

As much as I'd want that to be true, we have seen nothing yet. But from the little things we have seen, we can speculate/assume it'll get very close to UC's score or perhaps outsocre it by a number at most. Dunno, its awaiting game for now.

3. MC averages mean very little. GTA4 is the highest rated game of all time according to MC.

We'll just have to wait and see now won't we.

because you don't determine trends with one figure. and for all you know. it could score the same as UC1.

you need more than one sequel to build confidence in that series' scores as well as sales.

After GT5 you would have figured people would have learned not to hype games to ridiculous proportions before you've basicalyl seen anything on it. All you've seen is a 2 minute trailer and you are already saying it will be the highest rated game of all time....give it a break already.

I am very hyped for Uncharted 3 but I don't think it's gonna beat the second one in terms of critic score.

Orcarina of Time won't be dethroned anytime soon. The game has like what, 37 reviews all together while games like Uncharted and Super Mario Galaxy have 100+ reviews to average.

Looks the same as U2, gameplay and visuals wise.

Of course there is always a chance, but don't you think it's a bit early? Give it a while, so we know all the big features etc...

I doubt it just a small sample of in game footage is not enough and it will have to be radically different to its predesscor.

But seriously, who didn't expect hype threads the day after the trailer? The guys and gals at Naughty Dog aren't lazy, they've made Uncharted 2, though pretty hard to top, they can do it again. But it's going to be much, much harder this time to pull off what Uncharted 2 did, they went all out on Uncharted 2, and also Uncharted 1 was AA, the huge leap from Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2 was staggering, and many were taken by surprise. This led to crazy hype, which turned into very good reviews, and loads of awards. Plus they themselves said that the pressure is immense with Uncharted 3, the expectations have been raised. Before, they were expected to make a good game, now they're expected to make a fantastic game with good multiplayer, a good story, and amazing graphics and physics, but at least they already nailed the graphics, and multiplayer.

WOAH!...calm down TC. Let's not set up ourselves for another GT5 flopping dissapointment here. I have no doubt the game is going to be awesome...but, let's not get ahead of oursleves. That trailer didn't even really show any gameplay. The graphics do look stunning though. The series is one of my favorite games this gen graphically.

I doubt it will be as big of a jump from 1 to 2, so I dont think it will outscore UC2 to be honest.
