A new video for the most technically proficient game coming out in the near future:
Some things from the video:
- At least 10 times the size of explorable space
- Branching paths that are each thought out and well designed, more choices
- Despite being much larger than past games it is keeping the pacing and action
- Increased detail and density in the world
- More interactivity, hundreds and hundreds of destructible and movable objects
- Keeps as much of the action in the hands of the player, more playable set pieces
- In-game cutscenes
It's also at a full 1080p :)
Part 2:
- Climbing has been completely revamped, complete analogue control over both of Drake's hands
- Systemic traversal rather than scripted for both the player and the enemies
- Goal is to be in constant motion during combat
- Stealth and melee similar to The Last of Us
- Enemies can be completely avoided but you can also enter stealth again when you break line of site, but enemies will investigate
- Vehicles have been worked into the core gameplay in a way that makes sense, they react differently depending on the terrain
- Rope can be used almost anywhere and has a variety of uses
- Emphasis on systemic mechanics rather than scripted
- Trying to keep the UI as minimalistic as possible, even with all the new tools
