Gears for me. Not a good idea putting COD4 in there because it's the only one that is multiplatform and will recieve more votes, not that I don't like COD4 I love it. Just thought that should be said.
A lot of people are going to vote CoD4 just because they have some random grudge against Halo 3, you know.
Out of all of them, though, I thought Gears was the most fresh experience. It definiately has some areas where it could improve in, but it's an overall fresh breath to a pretty stale genre.
I never played Uncharted, so I can't say if that's in my tastes or not.
ALthough i will say that games 3 and 4 wouldnt be that high up on my list anyway. Orange Box, Bioshock, Mario Galaxy, Crysis, Mass Effect, Metroid Prime 3, etc are all more entertaining games to me.

In my personal opinion I think Halo 3 is the not as good as COD4 in the FPS catagory. So I would get COD4 first, then Gears over Drakes simply because of online play then if I already had COD4 and Gears, Drakes is and easy choice over Halo 3 because at that point single player would win out and after playing both I would say Drakes was alot better.
CoD4 had the most replayability. Halo 3 was pretty solid as well, but the lose a match lose a number rank system started pissing me off. Gears was very good for it's time but I never liked the MP, and Uncharted easily has the best story, but is the shortest. I'd go with CoD4, but if you had Bioshock up there I would have picked it.
I like how they did the rankings ic COD4, but the gameplay is sooo repetitive. You don't even have vehicles. Halo on the other hand is super diverse and great, requiring all-around skill to truly dominate in. COD4 takes no damn skill. It'sjust sprint+aim+kill, rinse and repeat. Too easy.
If Uncharted was more gory it would be number 2 on my list, as sick as that sounds. It just doesn't feel right without it. I mean it's a shooter and has very good graphics, and there is blood (that doesn't look very good) but it just didn't cut it for me.

yeah ive always felt that alot of the people bashing halo and loving up to cod4, are just not very good at FPS, They have finaly found a game which really takes very little skill to be competent in. i know a lot of my friends love playing a bit of call of duty online, cos there sick of getting owned on halo3
Well if I had to choose just one it would be COD4. I play it alot online(the single player stunk out loud) and second would be uncharted. I didint enjoy gears really and I never liked halo.
Well, I'm really not much for online play. It does indeed add more to a game and is very nice when there. But, I would have to say I enjoyed Uncharted the most out of those.
