Uncharted Collection on PS4 for those sitting on the fence.

I say this from the perspective of someone who played the first Uncharted on PS3 and got tired of it halfway through and couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

I've been playing this collection the last two days and have finished the first game and am now playing the second. I don't know why I didn't like Drake's Fortune the first time around, it's a really good game. Maybe the improved graphics and frame rate have made it more fun to play, I don't know.

Uncharted 2 is amazing, just fantastic. For the first time I can see now why this series was so popular. U2 looks as good to me as some of the games I played on PS4 that were designed for the console from the ground up.

If you already played all three games I doubt it's worth the double dip but for anyone who hasn't go out and buy this immediately if you own a PS4. These games are just fantastic. I now can't wait for U4.

Never was fond of UC1, and ended up enjoy the coop and some of the mp stuff in UC3 more than the actual campaign. Uncharted 2 though was legit. Both the campaign and mp were enjoyable, even their spin on horde mode was neato.

The stretch from the initial jungle area to the end of the train is well done for the most part.

I don't understand the point of this thread. Sounds basically like a blog thread where you tell us you are now enjoying the series and didn't before. What does the collection have to do with anything?

People with a PS4 who never played the Uncharted games might be wondering whether it's worth it or not. You could have worked this out for yourself if you'd thought about it for a milisecond. Of course, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here.

I got it for $43, couldn't turn it down, I'll see if it's worth playing through these again...

a) everybody on SW is already familiar with Uncharted and already know if they like it or not

b) the thread has old and obvious information which renders it absolutely pointless

c) people who haven't played it before will buy the collection, and people who have already know if they want this or not

You just wanted attention and to tell the SW world "hey, I like Uncharted!", well so do I but I don't make a thread about every purchase I make, and you shouldn't either.

b) The game was released yesterday. I am giving my opinion on it, that's what we do on forums. You don't like opinions that aren't your own? 1. Stick your head up your ass and enjoy the smell and 2. Avoid forums.

c) People who haven't played it before might like to read the experiences of end users who have bought it before they buy it themselves. Not you, obviously, so why did you even open the thread?

I enjoyed all 3, especially 2, but I don't really want to replay them, they were one and done games for me. I'd like to get into the Uncharted 4 beta though. Looking forward to 4, it's bringing huge changes, way bigger than DF to 2, it's easily going to be the best in the series imo.

Uncharted 2 is fantastic, and it's worth buying the collection when it hits $20 for that game alone. Uncharted 1 is okay but certainly not worth revisiting. Uncharted 3 just made me angry for how pointless it all felt. It's like the game was trying its best to insult my intelligence.

It's a nice collection for those who haven't played the games. It's definitely not worth $60 if you have, unless you just really love Uncharted. In which case go nuts. Personally wish more remasters would get the treatment Gears: UE and Halo 2: A got.

I'm gonna buy it closer to the beta. Hopefully it goes on sale for $30-40 on black friday.

Well I played the first two and didn't really feel like playing the 3rd. Maybe I'll go back once I get a PS4 and I'm sure the collection will be down in price

@blueinheaven: For first time players, it's definitely worth it. I've played them all, so picking it up for $80 isn't worth it for me. Once it hits $40, i'm good to go.

I was kind of disappointed Gears UE was just Gears 1. If they did an MCC job on all of them it would have been 'must have' for me but just that one and the others as BC just didn't work for me.

Gears is another franchise I never really played. I am the King of not playing games everyone else really likes lol.

Gonna save my money. Not worth it and I barely have time for games at the moment and just wait for weekends to play games. I finished the series on PS3 too and I wanna give it more time to forget the games because right now I remember most encounters and 60 fps will make it even easier for me, so yeah it can wait until December or even spring 2016 when I buy UC4 and play the whole series again before it's release. Good thread for discussion.

That's a great plan. Good recap before UC4 hits and it should be pretty cheap by then. I have been replaying all the Halo games via MCC waiting for Halo 5 too it's a great way to get in the mood.

Yeah it definitely doesn't have the value MCC has, but they also sold it for $40 which I appreciated.

Gears has some really great MP that feels quite different than anything else available. The campaign was a total bore to return to though.

I love how a thread where a game can be discussed needs to validate its existence, but the one millionth shitty graphics debate or corporate wankery or list battle, that's a thread worth discussing.

That's a problem for me I only play MP on PC. It is cheap though, cheap enough I don't mind dropping 20 to see if I like it or not. Bummer though having to play 360 versions of the others if I like it.

I started on this today with Uncharted 1. Never played the series so it's all new to me aside from knowing some character names and other insignificant things. So far it's not bad, but it does get pretty repetitive after awhile. This could be due to me playing it for so freaking long today though (around the 80% completion mark as of now, Friday off day ftw), but I bet the constant firefights wears down on a lot of people. The pacing isn't that great, and the jet ski parts are pretty crappy. The puzzles are lol, the platforming is okay, and the gun play is okay as well. Overall it's decent but no masterpiece, but then again I don't think people look at the first one in that kind of light anyway.

The thing that gets on my nerves is outside of all of this though. I had some major issues with guns liking to aim down, even after specifically pushing the stick up. The aiming down is not instantaneous either, and does it in a slow and jarring way that makes it hard to correct it. The controls aren't inverted; they are of the default method so I don't think it's me. It could be the controller but I'm not sure. It doesn't do it all the time, but I think aiming loves to compensate for any vertical movement.

I'm sure it looks slick, and I like the series, but I'm not into the remasters if I've already played them.

As an Xbox One gamer only atm, (sold my PS4), the Uncharted series is the only thing I miss about have a Sony console. The first one was awesome and the second one is still my favorite game ever. From the story to the graphics, everything was superb. I love the series so much, I will undoubtedly pick up a PS4 Uncharted 4 bundle.

If I didn't know people adored Uncharted 2 for some odd reason, I would tell people to avoid that game like the plague.

Its worth double dipping (tho I beaten each game like 8x each), but not at $60

I have 2 copies of Uncharted 1 and 3 copies of Uncharted 2. And I was still playing U3 till a couple months ago since Nov 11 2011.

$60 is a bad price point, $40 is passable.
