pretty much matched if not surpassed in a lot of areas the target render, and the game isnt even close to realease. i didnt know naughty dog was so talented :)
Character models look better, but I kind of liked the softer lighting from E3 06 better. I know this is more a matter of preference, but some of the new bloom effects seem unnecessary.
I cant really tell if it looks better or worse. Some pics on the left look better than the right, and some pics on the right look better than the left one.
theg mae didnt surpass anythign anywhere. The vegetation in the old demo was all 3D, casting its own shadow etc. now the plants are 2D and look bent like paper. casting ZERO shadows. the textures were also higher res.
graphics look fine. animation is what will make this game "look" like the trailer. whether it's fluid enough to look realistic...well...that's something devs have been trying to get right for a long time.

i guess your right, sorta, the Vegetation still casts shadows, just not as much, but the plants were never made out of polygons

look at the e306 vegetation. it was made out of polygons.
PS3 is going to have a great year for games. Uncharted looks to be the early favorite for game of the year right now. I give it the edge over Halo 2.5 for the 360.
Uncharted, Lair, Sigma, Heavenly Sword, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank, Socom, Folklore, and WarHawk. PS3 has it going on.
