Not great for all 3 games, but not too bad either. Great series, although I only really loved 2 and 3. 1 was just ok.

Clearly a great franchise would have at least 25 million sales by 3 games.

Sarcasm? That figure is an amazingly successful franchise. Call of Duty may have skewed our expectations, including publishers themselves. 4 million copies for a video game is a really good effort.those are great numbers for naughty dog, they deserve it. now get back to crash or jak and daxter or something completely new...
COD is on several platforms. Dumb comments are dumb. And the funny thing is that CoD have probably sold more 2 minutes after lunch.

COD is on several platforms. Dumb comments are dumb. lol, but didnt the PS3 versions of MW2, Black Ops and MW3 sold more? No one reasonably compares to CoD. Its what the "cool kids" buy and play because they don't have enough care to adventure much out of the current trend in FPS and sports games. I know plenty of kids like this.[QUOTE="BibiMaghoo"][QUOTE="padaporra"]COD is on several platforms. COD games sell more than 360's biggest exclusives as well. Using "COD sells more" as an argument is equivalent to saying you need oxygen to breathe.

I know plenty of kids like this. It's quite funny seeing all the hate and pseudo-intellectual critiques of CoD and how it's too "mainstream" and "formulaic". 99% of the gaming community doesn't spend hours on end reading video game forums or researching niche titles. They buy a game they can sit down for an hour with their friends and have fun with. They know CoD is supposed to be good and that 50 people they know enjoy it, so why wouldn't they get it as well? Most people can't dedicate 70 hours to gaming every week and frankly don't care if the game they play for FUN doesn't accurately depict the Coriolis Effect when sniping or lacks 394 distinct recipes for health pots. So I guess by "cool kids" you mean "normal, average human being"
