Uncharted series vs. Mass Effect series

Well, this is surely a hard choice, both of them are surely the two best series this gen. Yeah, even better than Gears of War and Assassins Creed series....(For sheeps who wants to say Mario Galaxy series, please no, it's still a Mario series....)

So which one is better?

For me, Mass Effect 1 is clearly better than Uncharted 1

But Uncharted 2 is clearly better than Mass Effect 2, I said it because Mass Effect 2 has poor level design, all you had to do is walking in corridor fighting robot enemies while hiding in the covers...as for Uncharted...man, the level design is surely breathtaking and amazing, shooting in the moving platform is clearly different than shooting in a level that standing still....Mass Effect 2 should learn from Uncharted 2 in terms of level design

So which series is better?

For me, it's a tie

Yeah, Mass Effect 1 is better than Uncharted 1 and Mass Effect 2 definitely one of the best game this generation.

But Uncharted 2 is on a whole different level. The game is so awesome and the level design had many variety, something that Mass Effect 1 and 2 didn't have

If we're talking about the game, it will be Uncharted 2 > Mass Effect 2 > Mass Effect > Uncharted

So, what say you?

I'd go with Mass Effect because I find the story to much more epic and intense.

But I love both.

Are you comparing them because ME plays more like a shooter than a RPG? :P If that's the case, Uncharted destroys Mass Effect.

Mass Effect is still a WRPG (despite being a stripped down shooter) so this comparison is not right.

Uncharted. Mass Effect suffers from a lot of stupid crap. Like the stiff movement mechanics, meh level design, and every time I want to talk to a crew member they assume I want to **** them. AAllxxjjnn

I enjoy the Mass Effect games much more. To be fair though, I enjoy the Mass Effect games much more than most games this gen.

[spoiler] The giant mechanical boss at the end was lame, I agree. Atleast they had a good reason as to why it looked like that. At first I thought it looked like that mutated blob Tetsuo becomes at the end of Akira albeit without the flesh and blood. Atleast Shambala looked great :P [/spoiler]

Uncharted because of multiplayer which Mass Effect doesn't have.

I find Edgar Allan Poe highly overrated, and I think that the piece of chocolate cake you're eating is the best of the two.

I'm actually quite fond of Poe, specially his mystery novels. The imaginary (you see, I had to make something up to establish an absurd comparison) piece of cake is quite good, though.

I can see a comparison between LoTR the movies and Mass Effect the Game. The movies were great, don't get me wrong, but they don't hold a candle to the books.

ME for me

ME is vastly superior to UC IMO, I found UC tedious and clunky, the combat more so than ME. Come at me bro.blue_hazy_basic

I prefer the Uncharted series. It's just more engrossing.

Not that they're entirely comparable, Uncharted 2 probably does have stronger gameplay than Mass Effect 2. The Mass Effect series has this really intricate universe with great characters though, and I think the story is much stronger. Not to mention I actually enjoyed the mechanics and tech found throughout both Mass Effects (even though they changed it). So as a whole, I'd say the Mass Effect series.

Uncharted for me

ME1 bored me to tears and I tried ME2 couple of days ago and it also bored me to tears. for some reason I just cant get into it

It's pretty hard to compare, but i like the Uncharted series more...

Mass Effect, the story of the game just seems way better.

Seeing I just got 30 hours of gameplay out of Mass Effect 2 and only got about 12 out of both Uncharted games combined... yeah I'm sticking with Mass Effect.

The only similarity I see is that both games are supposed to be of a certain genre(U2 action adventure, ME2 RPG) but both can easily end up being defined as TPS.

That said I prefer Mass Effect series over Uncharted series so far.

Well I got over 200 hours of UC2 and only 40 hours of ME2 so I guess I have to say that the Uncharted series is superior. Realistically I felt Uncharted has better movie like qualities and holds your attention better than ME but isn't as deep. The problem I have with ME is the boredom of mining for minerals which almost made me quit the game. Also lots of the side missions weren't too varied and lacked any depth like the main mission. Overall I prefer Uncharted due to not only play an epic SP game but also play co-op.

Mass Effect series by far. Uncharted is good, but not that level.

I'll go with Uncharted here, I like the characters better, and since both games are basically third person shooters gunplay matters a lot, and Uncharted is much better than Mass Effect in that aspect. Then not to mentioned Uncharted is the better polished game. And the multiplayer is actually very fun, especially co-op.
