 So, according to Sony, the next gen of gaming is graphically stunning short games with little to no replay value, Play beyond, right....

Now if you minus 2 hours from Dev's inflated length you get... 8-10 hours long.

It's too short even if you play it 1h a day that would be 10 days and it's all over no mp, that's not worth 60$, this gen is so stupid.

For a single player game with no multiplayer, I'd say it's a tad bit gimped...

Will be interesting to see their response to this. It look like a good game but it saddens me to see games that cost $60+ now lasting for such a short time. Hopefully there will be different routes through the game to add to the replayability.

It seems about right for a game like this, noone complains about God Of War being this long with no multi-player, purely because it's so good.nickmag

If Gears would have no mp i would break the damn dvd. I went through the sp only one time because the mp is so much better then i have no motivation to reply it again.

Gears came out in December 2006 and im still playing it because of the mp but if it had no mp i would already stoped playig it in December that would be so worth the 60$ :roll:

 At the rate Sony is going, they're going to have to release 30 second demos and 10 second videos of doctored game footage just so they don't reveal too much of the game.

Classic epics are still around. Who's up for a month long excursion into Galactic Civilization II? I sure am. Although, games are increasingly becoming shortened, most likely due to the shortening of attention spans. Its the same reason shows like BSG and Lost start to lose viewership after their first 2 season. People just dont care about a story or its length, its the immediate sense of fulfilment that they are looking for. Thats why games like Gears and now Uncharted are so short.

It started awhile back though, with Max Payne. Although a good game, it was a completely throw-away experience.

yea.  I still play gears today but because i like playing the online coop.  don't care much for the other multiplayer modes.  Oh well maybe they'll add some sort of online coop for uncharted.  If they do i might just say hell ill buy it.  But its just a rental if there is no replay  value to the game. 

But I thought blu-ray added WAY more room for the devs so they can make games 9 zillion times bigger than anything ever in the whole universe?darklord888

6hrs on casual and that difficulty is not worth it because all you do is run n gun and very rarely use cover.  Try insane difficulty.  it takes about 12 hrs on insane because omg you have to actually use cover and tactics.
