- dig for treasure

- solve real puzzles

- discover new optional areas

- grow the hero in different ways

Seeing how I haven't played Fable The Lost Chapters yet, I can't give out an opinion on this.

Though I can say this.

Uncharted 2 > Fable 2

Uncharted 3 > Fable 3

Heard Fable 1 was fantastic though.

Not really a fair comparison ,Fable is obviously more complexed ,varied and deep, uncharted is a TPS Heavy action adventure with exploration elements and Fable is a sandbox game with RPG elements, character interaction, different quests and freedom to be pretty much good or evil, you should have compared it to something like demon souls or infamous, lol

Two different beasts, Fable isn't very complex or deep for an RPG, Uncharted is more difficult from 1 to 3.

you fanboys make yourselves so obvious, it's pretty clear that fable is more complex (differnt quests, character developement, different weapons ,different armour and NPC's who react to your behaviour) more varied (not just shoot people and fetch things and it's a sanbox game) and deeper (theres no character development or RPG elements in uncharted) to sy otherwise is just stupid really, not a fair comparison but what can you do,lol

Some aspects, like the huge cities, huge open world, simulation, changing world etc are vastly better in Fable 2-3 than in Fable 1

Fable 2-3 are way more complex and deep in that regard

Fable 2 had trading routes, with traders wandering around the areas and also you could create an army of NPCs, had one of the best followers system ever

Fable has little to no variation in the story, you can choose to kill a character or do something evil every now and again but it does nothing to change the overall story :?

I don't often hear Uncharted being praised as a super complex game with a deep learning curve. And you are comparing an Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider clone to an RPG. Those genres encompass different aspects of game design.

Really? because in Fable 3 you decide how many of the people of albion live or die depending on how much bank you make, if you don't eran enough it affects the whole world around you, shops are closed, NPC's are missing, and whole areas can look entirely different depending on wether you choos to spend money to regenerate them a lot, your choices can certainly change the world you play in quite significantly, and Fable has multiple endings as well, lol

"explore a huge open world, some areas are as big as all Uncharted 1-2-3 areas put together" The map of the fable games is very small and very linear, if you put every level of Uncharted 2 together it would probably be larger than any of the fable games.

"affect trading routes" Granted I haven't played Fable 3 but this is a complete lie if you're referring to the first 2 games, the traders are just NPCs that spawn at set locations and walk a set path, they don't actually have any kind of economy or anything.

If I remember correctly, it all came down to a single choice, which gave you some bonus but hardly changes the overall story. If the choices were actually complex then the whole game would be based upon them rather than you pretty much having to be good, you could choose to side with evil. In the end all the choices are just something that moves a slider across pretty much.

Actually the areas in Fable are huge, Uncharted is mainly taking place in coriddors and tiny hubs

Fable is mainly taking place in huge open hubs

The difference in walkable area size is devastating, i am sure all Uncharted 1-2-3 walkable areas are smaller than the biggest Fable hub

Also the traders can be killed, so you can affect the trading routes, how is another matter

So, no lies there

One choice? Hardly "complex choices" then is it? On top of that it's at the end of the game when pretty much everything is complete, there are a few things to still do but not a whole lot. A game like Fable should have choices like that throughout the game, instead of choosing if someone dies or a simple skin change to a neighborhood.

Your poll is dumb, it's like me asking whether Dance Central or MGS4 is the best dancing simulator, then claiming ownage when Dance Central wins. Uncharted isn't trying to be varied and deep and complex, it's trying to be an over the top action adventure and it whole heatedly succeeds.

Oh the moral choices, not to mention in Fable 1 pretty much the only way to be truly evil was to spend a lot of time massacring villages and guards. It's fun the first few bandit raids in Oakvale but it grows rather boring very quicky. Plus all of your work gets destroyed when you do the story or nearly anything else since most things in that game give you good.

The first two Fables I would give it to, but after that, neither of them are that complex or varied, and certainly isn't deep. imo. Now on the other hand, Uncharted doesn't need complexity for it to be enjoyable so I say Uncharted wins!

"affect trading routes" Granted I haven't played Fable 3 but this is a complete lie if you're referring to the first 2 games, the traders are just NPCs that spawn at set locations and walk a set path, they don't actually have any kind of economy or anything.

Uncharted 2 is the most critically acclaimed HD console exclusive this gen, stop being butthurt.

[QUOTE="soulitane"]If I remember correctly, it all came down to a single choice, which gave you some bonus but hardly changes the overall story. If the choices were actually complex then the whole game would be based upon them rather than you pretty much having to be good, you could choose to side with evil. In the end all the choices are just something that moves a slider across pretty much.soulitane

In Fable 1 people were scared of you if you were evil and cheered for you if you were good.

Fable 1 was a great game though.

I was always good anyway.

I agree, one of my favourite games, just they didn't give any reason to be bad. I was always good as well, the sounds of the villages running away always annoyed me.

I like how when they're carrying firewood and you come nearby they just drop it and start clapping.

YOu can do more in Fable because it is an RPG. But, Uncharted is the better franchise.

No, actually if you had ever played the game you would know every single thing of those is in them

But obviously you have not

So, which are the "outright lies" ? LOL

I've played fable (probably for longer than you have) so I know that when you say it's "huge" that is a lie.

Killing traders isn't the same as affecting trade routes, the traders don't supply the shops, their stock just automatically replenishes out of nowhere after a set time. Yes you can kill traders, but thats no different to killing any other NPC in the game.

Why compare two dissimilar games?

I might as well compare them with Flight Simulator X which a heck of a lot more complex than any of those games.

Hahaha yup, I also liked how no one ever suspected me to be the one slowly killing them all and buying up their houses

Wait, you're comparing an RPG and an action-adventure/TPS? :?

You do realize those two are entirely different genres? :?

But since this is a Loosey's thread,I'll go with Uncharted.Never enjoyed Fable, way too simplistic for my taste...

In Fable you can:

Do fetch quests and talk to hoes.

In Uncharted you can:

Use a grenade launcher

Use an AK 47

Use a pistol thing

Use a handgun thing

Use another handgun thing

Use an RPG

Run

Walk

Roll

Jump

Dance like a sex pervert after killing someone online

kill someone online

cpture a flag on line

carry treasure online

discover treasure offline

throw a grenade

shoot strong enemies

shoot weak enemies

try to shoot allies which in turn makes them walk to the side (very good AI)

talk to peaople in cutscenes

watch cutscenes

do puzzles

carry littled gas things that explode upon shooting them

customize your character's appearance (character skin store)

level up on line

do quests

go to mountains

go in mountains

fight yetis

fight blue yetis

fight many blue yetis

AND THAT'S JUST UNCHARTED 2
