Uncharted vs Gears of war 2 (Graphics)

now here are actual gameplay shots of uncharted:

judging by these screens, gears 2 looks better. the textures are higher res and sharper, it doesn't look like a pastel painting, and the characters actually have textures and are not just solid shades of color, gears also doesn't look like it was molded out of plastic. btw, that uncharted pic you showed, i didn't know that women had shiny plastic ears?

Ok so I now you people hate offscreen shots, but considering i'm taking the shots from the same tv with both games played on it at the same time, it's a good comparison right? It's from the first level of both games

As you can see it's obvious that gears has a lot more detail on screen. Yes uncharted has better character models, but honestly if you look at the bigger picture gears looks much better, the lighting is better, the environment is better, the subtle use of depth of field is better. The antialiasing is better.

gears 2 graphically is a lot better than uncharted.

gears 1 vs uncharted is debatable

Well yeah i don't think any 360 "exclusive" has better graphics than Uncharted 1. However, Resi 5 looks better.chapnzaba

dreadful textures??? the game still has some of the best textures on console to date. and yes, the draw distance was lowered to give the characters on screen more detail. the unreal engine 3 was also modified to give the game better lighting, more realistic soft matter physics, the ability to have over 100 characters on screen simultaneously without having to sacrifice the graphics, and destructible environments. apparently you missed those parts of the game. have you even played it or are you here just to bash it?

Gears 2 is the winner.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune > Gears of War

Gears of War 2 > Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves > Gears of War 2
